Mooseheads Game 7 bus ride after historic comeback
Halifax Mooseheads became one of the few teams to come from behind after trailing 3-0 in a QMJHL playoff series and coming back to win. Jonathan Drouin scored in OT to give the Mooseheads a 5-4 win over the Quebec Remparts in Game 7 of their quarter final series. Quebec defeats Halifax 4-3 (SO)
Quebec Remparts defeat Halifax 4-3 in shootout in QMJHL action at Metro Centre. The Remparts despite losing 2 key players ejected for 5 minute majors managed to beat the Mooseheads in the shootout. Adam Erne was ejected after hitting Jonathan Drouin from behind and Nick Sorenson was ejected for a cross check on Darcy Ashley. Here are the video highlights including goals in shootout. MacKinnon's 1st visit to BC
16 year old Nathan MacKinnon made his 1st trip to Baie Comeau Wednesday in QMJHL action, The Drakkar picked him 1st overall in the midget draft this summer but eventually traded him to Halifax as he would not report to Baie Comeau. The fans were ready for the Cole Harbour native.
Brendan Duke traded to Halifax
Halifax Mooseheads newest defenceman Brendan Duke arrived at Metro Centre after being traded by the Quebec Remparts. The 2nd year 18 year old was dealt for Gabe Desjardins and draft picks. John Moore spoke to the Cole Harbour native about the trade.
