One team that was expected to be good coming into this season but has even surpassed those expectations so far is the Phoenix Suns, who at the time of recording this video are 7-3 and 2nd in the Western Conference behind the LA Lakers, as well as being 3rd in record across the entire NBA. The Suns are looking amazing right now and there’s a lot of factors contributing towards this surprisingly elite start. Before the season started, I was concerned this team may slip down the standings due to many teams around them getting better, like Brooklyn, Atlanta etc. but so far, that prediction has been well off, as the Pacers look better than they’ve ever been. They’re looking great right now, but of course, it’s only 5 games, so there’s still some questions over their legitimacy as a title contender in the East. Well, the NBA season is off to a strange start. 4 teams went 3-0 to begin their 2021 campaign, the Cleveland Cavaliers, Indiana Pacers, Atlanta Hawks and Orlando Magic, and now, only two of those teams remain undefeated, though the Hawks are yet to play their 4th game as of when writing this script. That team is of course the Orlando Magic, who have shocked everyone by impressively beating teams like the Heat and Wizards and now have put themselves in a fantastic position for this season early on. But why are the Magic playing so well? Who has stepped up early on this season and contributed to their surprising success? Merry Christmas everyone! Welp, the Rockets are off to an interesting start to their 2021 season. The team was meant to face OKC today in their opening game, but due to a positive test and James Harden breaching protocols, the game was put in jeopardy and is now officially postponed. This whole situation has made me realise one thing though and that’s the impact of James Harden. What he does significantly affects the team, on and off the court and for that reason, I feel as if he is the biggest x-factor on this squad.
