ARTETA'S POST-MATCH PRESS CONFERENCE REACTION | ASTON VILLA 1-0 ARSENAL ———————————————————————————————— In this video I give my reaction to Arteta'a post-match press conference where he discusses the conversation he had with the officials, the team performance, on Partey's injury, on European qualification, Konsa's possible red card and more... ———————————————————————————————— INTRO 0:00 ON CONVERSATION WITH OFFICIALS: I keep that between me and them. (On unhappy with decisions) again I prefer to stay on mute on that. 1:07 ON PERFORMANCE: really strong performance again, we completely dominated the game, we dominated every department and we should’ve won the game. The way the team played the energy they showed the quality they showed, the amount of chances in situations we created, how quickly we regained the ball, how we controlled the long balls and second balls, how aggressive we were on our duels, incredible. But it wasn’t enough to win the game. 5:05 ON PARTEY: I dunno he has a muscular issue so we had to take him off, he couldn’t carry on playing. He wasn’t feeling well enough to continue playing. 9:21 ON EUROPEAN QUALIFICATION: This defeat is a big blow, because considering the performances we’ve put in both games we got 0 points, we have to come back, we’ve done it this season, we have to do it again, we have a week now to prepare for the game against Leeds and we have to focus on that. 10:48 ON KONSA POSSIBLE RED CARD: As you could see I was really animated for a few decisions and one big decision that I will not discuss here but it’s what it is, it’s not an excuse, regardless of those decisions, we have to win the game, it’s as simple as that. 13:02 ON MISTAKES: Team challenging for the European places, don’t make mistakes, those teams they cannot play in the first 22 games of a season 4 or 5 times with 10 men. It doesn’t happen. There isn’t a team in the world that can sustain that. POST MATCH REACTION: ARSENAL 0-0 CRYSTAL PALACE | A MID-TABLE CLASH ———————————————————————————————— Arsenal continue their undefeated run. That was sarcasm. This performance was very reminiscent to the weekends FA Cup tie with Newcastle. However, unlike the performance against Newcastle, this one felt ten times more frustrating and infuriating. Purely based on the fact that Crystal Palace showed no desire to pose any attacking threat and invited us to throw everything at their defence. This game perhaps brought fans back to reality in remember the team Arteta inherited. One lacking the conviction to finish teams off and one that is unable to pose a threat against mid-table teams.
