And for the rockets fans out there, i know you guys didn’t have Westbrook, Eric Gordon didn’t play as well as he normally does, and you guys were missing some players. But this video isn’t me saying one team is better than the other, I’m just saying that the pacers are really starting to figure it out, no one is taking note of it, and I’m here to shed some light on the pacers Now with that being said, Pacers fans, good news for you guys. -Leading scorer only had 18 and still won -Tells us they have depth -Tells us they have chemistry -They had 6 guys in double figures -JaKarr Sampson had 9 points and 5 rebounds in 15 minutes. He probably would’ve had more than 10 points if he played a few more minutes. For the Indiana Pacers: No Malcolm Brogden who’s averaging 17 this year, they didn’t have Sabonis who is averaging 19 this year and let’s be real, the Rockets’ small ball system wouldn’t have had any answers for Sabonis down in the paint, and the pacers didn’t have TJ Warren who’s been going crazy in the bubble. When those 3 guys get back, they are going to be a very deep team. And let’s not forget about Victor Oladipo. He’s not contributing as much as he is capable of because he’s just coming back from that horrible knee injury. Give Victor Oladipo some time and he’s going to be giving teams 20 points a night like he used to. That’s what the raptors are doing and why they won the championship and why they’re the second seed in the east this year Not every guy is scoring 20 points per game, but when one of their leading scorers isn’t in the game, the next man on the bench comes and keeps the offense at the same level of intensity. That’s what makes a great team and that’s what the pacers are slowly turning into. When TJ was hot, they weren’t saying, “Man, I’m tired of this man getting media attention, let me hog the ball and get myself some of the spotlight.” No, they saw their teammate was doing well and they fed him the ball. And obviously, basketball isn’t just offense so how are the pacers doing defensively? According to the NBA’s website, the pacers are tied for 7th in defensive ratings. As you can see, for the most part, the teams that are ranked higher than them are currently championship contenders. Chris Paul led the way for the Thunder with 21 PTS, 7 REB and 6 AST, while LeBron James tallied 19 PTS, 11 REB and 4 AST for the Lakers. I’m going to give reasons as to why this loss should worry the lakers and then I’m going to give reasons as to why it shouldn’t and I’m going to ask for your opinions down below The first reason the lakers should be worried is the most obvious one that everyone except Shannon sharp, nick wright, and Kendrick Perkins can see. And that reason is: If we can’t beat the thunder, how do we expect to beat the clippers? The second reason the lakers should be worried is because we play terrible perimeter defense. As a whole, the lakers play good defense. They are 3rd in the nba in defensive ratings but they are one of the worst teams in perimeter defense. The Oklahoma City Thunder took advantage of that last night and their players filled up the stat sheets. The thunder had no problem catching the ball on the perimeter and taking the ball to the hole on the lakers. Both teams did a terrible job shooting from 3 as they both only made 5 threes last night but I’m a bit worried as to how the lakers are going to defend the clippers when they have all of their players. Kawhi and Paul George can score more than 30 points from anywhere on the court and then the clippers also have guys like Lou will who can dominate around the perimeter. The entire game you can see the thunder taking advantage of the weak perimeter defense and that is not going to be good for us lakers when we play the clippers in the playoffs. At this point in Luka’s career, it is obvious that he is a once in a generation type of player. How many times have we seen players primes get wasted on poor teams? We were seeing it with LeBron in Cleveland before he went to Miami and more recently, we were seeing it with Anthony Davis in New Orleans before he he got traded to the Lakers. I am afraid this will be the same for Luka Doncic and Kristapz Porzingis. They are two players who are good enough to win a ring but basketball is a team game and its not common for a team to win a championship when its 2 guys carrying the load. When the warriors were on top of the NBA, their slogan was “strength in numbers” because everyone on that bench was able to contribute significantly. Unfortunately, the same can’t be said about the mavericks. Bench only contributed 19 points Luka alone had more points than the entire bench combined. Luka put up 20 rebounds last night and the entire bench only had 12 rebounds combined. Luka had 12 assists last night and the entire bench had a combined 6 assists. How does this happen? Luka can not win a championship if he does not get help. If the mavericks don’t get him more help, one of 2 things is going to happen. He is either going to leave the mavericks and go somewhere that gives him a better chance at a ring or he is going to get injured doing so much work on the court Kristaps Porzingis had 22 points and 7 rebounds which also means that he alone had more points than the entire bench put together I genuinely feel bad for Luka because he is barely getting paid for all the work he is doing. Look at all these guys who are getting paid more than Luka and leaving him and Kristaps to do all the work.
