November 16th, 2021 The Texas Legends played their 5th regular season game against the Memphis Hustle. In their 106-100 loss, Legends Guard, Carlik Jones, had a stand out performance. The Legends Rookie dropped 30pts (12-26fgs, 4-6 3PT), 4reb, 3ast and 2stl. Jones has continued to impress this season. During the NBA Summer League, Jones showed skills that he had but in this G-League season, he has shown that he can score, create for his teammates and can be a leader on the floor. This is very apparent in the fact that he played over 30min and DID NOT record a single turnover. A nearly complete master of his game and it is exciting to watch. In their 117-102 victory, Mavericks Center, Moses Brown, on assignment with the Legends, had a stand out performance. The young big man had 23pts (10-14fgs), 16reb and 3blks. The 7foot 2in Center, transitioned very smoothly with his old team and absolutely dominated in nearly every aspect. In this young season, Jones has shown the ability to attack the rim, crest open looks for his teammates and step outside the arc for a few good looking threes. Time will tell whether or not the rookie will be able to take his game to the next level, but one thing is certain. He has proven that he deserves the chance to show it.
