The Philadelphia Eagles aren’t the same team that stunned the football world by beating the New England Patriots in Super Bowl 53. This group is struggling to find its way, which might be putting it mildly, and now fighting for whatever slim odds it has left to reach the NFC playoffs. The Eagles barely put up a fight in a 48-7 loss to the New Orleans Saints. It was a performance that reinforced how far the team has to go, sitting at 4-6 while offering little reason to believe a quick turnaround is imminent. Injuries have stood in the way of consistency, and significant issues remain on both the offensive and defensive sides of the ball. A key three-game stretch lies ahead beginning with the New York Giants. Any road to the playoff likely must start with wins in all three. PennLive reporter Dustin Hockensmith tackled those subjects and more on this edition of the Philadelphia Eagles Blitz. Eagles beat reporter Daniel Gallen also joined the show to break down the Eagles-Giants matchup and give his prediction. Take a look in the video above.
