Last night the #Toronto Raptors put in a valiant effort short handed against Philadelphia losing by 5 points. Joel Embiid was a dominant force a big guy scoring 36 points. Meanwhile Pascal Siakam showed his offensive skills and Chris Boucher just missed getting a 20 and 20 game when the scorer shorted him a rebound at the end of the game. Raptor Freak discussing last night's game with the livestream regulars.
In a game that probably should have never happened the #TorontoRaptors valiantly competed for a quarter and a half with Cleveland until Kevin Love busted the game wide open. Toronto avoided setting or tying their mark for worst loss margin ever. A few bright spots for the Raptors and a few players who did not take advantage of the situation at all.
Tonight the #TorontoRaptors are supposed to play the Chicago Bulls with most of their regular rotation out in Covid Protocols. So far this season the #NBA has postponed many games for teams that are facing the situation that the Raptors are facing tonight. The league postponed the Bulls @ Raptors game for this very same reason last week. Why are they not doing the same for Toronto tonight? Raptor Freak talks about the squad Nick Nurse has got in Chicago tonight and what to expect.
Last night the #TorontoRaptors handily beat the Sacramento Kings. It was a luxury that the Raptors got to rest their starters for the second half; since Toronto plays in Brooklyn against the Nets tonight on the second night of a back to back. Nine Raptors scored in double digits and a renewed confidence was found by players like #MalachiFlynn, #Svi and #ChrisBoucher. Today Raptor Freak reacts to a great win and previews a tough matchup at Barclay Center tonight.
Last Night the #TorontoRaptors found out 30 minutes before the game that Giannis would be held out for the game last night. They had to switch all of their plans around last minute and #ScottieBarnes stood up and said I want to guard Khris Middleton. It's evident that the Raptors do not have it all together yet, BUT glimmers of what is possible were shown last night with a much more fluid synergistic offense. The Defensive effort was solid and consistent throughout the game, especially near the end when Toronto had to hold off the Bucks from stealing the game back. This type of win is exactly what the Raptors needed right now.
Once again the #TorontoRaptors failed to protect their homecourt and lost by a very pathetic effort to the Memphis Grizzlies. Canadian Dillon Brooks stepped up and showed a fire and edge that the Raptors lack. There were moments when some true potential was shown, but otherwise it was a lot of ugly basketball played by the Raptors. Raptor Freak dutifully shows up and talks about something he doesn't really want to.
This 2021-2022 NBA Season is definitely a war of attrition. With physical play, more injuries, covid protocols, etc. more and more teams are having to dig deep on their bench to find ways to win. Just in the last week the Memphis Grizzlies have lost their franchise player Ja Morant to a knee sprain for a few weeks. The #TorontoRaptors themselves are dealing with injuries as well. A lot of these .500 teams will falter due to losing personnel at times this year. Raptor Freak talks about next man up mentality and how eventually when we get healthy again fully, we should have a bench mob that should include all of our younger players.
This live stream is reaction to the #TorontoRaptors much needed win over the Sacramento Kings late last night. Pascal Siakam showed that he can be the superstar still and dominate games. #GaryTrentJr. was steady once again and a joy to watch. Meanwhile #Raptors905 keeps rolling in G-League routing the Long Island Nets. RaptorFreak goes over the very enjoyable doubleheader of Raptors basketball he watched last night.
