Men's Basketball: Washington defeats Oregon State in thrilling overtime battle

Pac-12 Networks' Ted Robinson and Don MacLean recap Washington's thrilling overtime win over Oregon State, 81-76, in Seattle on Wednesday evening. OSU's Tres Tinkle finished the night with 31 points on 10-of-20 shooting, marking his 63rd straight game where he's scored in double figures. The redshirt junior also grabbed a team-high 10 rebounds and dished two assists. Washington's David Crisp and Noah Dickerson matched with 22 points each, while Matisse Thybulle broke his own record for single-season steals in UW history. He had four steals against the Beavers and now has 105 steals on the season.

Washington football will make its first Rose Bowl appearance since 2000 after taking home a 10-3 win over Utah in the 2018 Pac-12 Football Championship Game on Friday at Levi's Stadium. UW linebacker Murphy Byron Murphy was named game MVP after recording the game-winning pick-six during the third quarter, his second interception of the game. Before then, all both teams could muster was a field goal apiece. Washington quarterback Jake Browning had 187 passing yards while Myles Gaskin rushed for 79 yards to headline the Huskies' offensive attack.

The Beavers managed to hold the Huskies scoreless in the fourth quarter and put up seven points of their own, but it wasn't enough to catch up to UW following their hot start with 28 points in the first quarter. Twenty two seniors played their final game at Husky Stadium, including Washington quarterback Jake Browning, who finished with 242 passing yards for three touchdowns, and UW tailback Myles Gaskin, who carried the ball 18 times for 135 yards and one touchdown to take down the Beavers on Saturday.

Browning also set the UW record single-game record with his 92 percent completion percentage (min. 20 attempts). The Huskies were close to securing their first shutout of a ranked team since 1990 before BYU scored with 41 seconds remaining.
