What's up, Browns fans! We're not sure what we watched on Sunday, but it certainly wasn't a football game. The Browns got completely demolished by the New England Patriots in a 45-7 smackdown. But don't get it wrong, it was a total team effort in this loss. The offense was horrible, the defense was even worse, and special teams followed suit. We got outcoached, outplayed, and outsmarted in every facet of the game. Don't worry though, you can wallow in misery with The Dawgs as we break down the atrocities of this game. Week 9 Recap: Cleveland Browns at Cincinnati Bengals
What's up, Browns fans! The Browns went down to Cincinnati and silenced the Bengals in a 41-16 beatdown in Week 9. Joe Burrow looked uncomfortable the entire game as the Browns defense manhandled the Bengals offense. Baker Mayfield and Nick Chubb led the Browns to some nice drives, big scores, and the victory in a much-needed divisional matchup. We discuss what looked great for the Browns and what things we need to clean up before the Patriots game next week. We also address the Odell Beckham Jr. situation from last week, a situation that turned into more drama than it needed to for the Browns. But the coaching staff kept the team focused and prepared as they brought home a huge win. Denzel Ward led a dominate defense that also included nice performances from rookie cornerback Greg Newsome II, John Johnson III, Anthony Walker, and Troy Hill. Myles Garrett added to his season sack total, and Jadeveon Clowney continued to shut down the run. All in all, it was a really complete win for the Browns. Week 6 Recap: Browns vs Cardinals
What's up, Browns fans! We Browns fans need to commiserate together in times of loss, and the Browns lost a big one this week. The Arizona Cardinals came into Cleveland and completely dominated the Browns for a 37-14 victory. And, honestly, the score was really 37-7. We had yet another embarrassing display of defense in this game. Baker Mayfield turned the ball over multiple times, separated his shoulder again, and couldn't get any downfield passes working. We lost more players this week to injuries, most notably Kareem Hunt and Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, and it doesn't look like we'll have many available starters on a short week for Thursday Night Football. We hate to be the bearers of bad news, but there wasn't much to get excited about in this one. But that's ok, because we're all well-versed in handling Browns losses, so let's vent our frustrations together and put this one in the rearview! Week 3 Recap: Browns vs Bears
What's up, Browns fans! After two weeks of disappointing defensive performances, the Browns came out and set records en route to a beatdown on the Chicago Bears. We sacked Bears rookie quarterback Justin Fields NINE times, with Myles Garrett setting a franchise record with 4.5 of those. The Bears had JUST ONE passing yard of offense, and a total of 47 yards for the entire game. Finally we can spend the majority of the show discussing what went right for the Browns AND we can talk primarily about the defense this week. Baker and the offense looked a little sluggish for a lot of the game, but Kareem Hunt powered the rushing attack to overpower the Bears and lead the Browns to a 26-6 victory. Preseason Week 2 Recap: Browns vs Giants
Preseason Game 2 played out on Sunday afternoon on a hot, sunny day in Cleveland. After joint practices with the New York Giants during the week, the Browns suited up for an on-field matchup to close things out. It was a much more subdued game when compared to the Jaguars the week before. But it was also the third time these two teams faced off against one another in one week, and again we saw mostly backups on the field. There were some big plays and we saw some key players making statements for playing time in the regular season. Even though preseason football leaves tons to be desired, it's still a great way to learn who the important depth and rotational players will be as the season moves along.
