NJIT's Danielle Tunstall posted her 19th career double-double of the season, netting 16 points and 10 rebounds but it was enough as Liberty defeated visiting NJIT, 66-48, in ASUN Conference women's basketball action at the Vines Center Saturday afternoon. For Tunstall, the Highlander forward has recorded three-straight double-doubles, tallying her ninth of the season, shooting 7-for-12 from the field. Lipscomb exploded for 44 second-half points led by three double-figure scorers as the Lady Bisons registered a 65-57 victory at NJIT in an ASUN Conference matinee on Monday afternoon inside NJIT's Wellness and Events Center. Senior forward Danielle Tunstall combined for her fifth double-double of the season (16th of her career), netting 14 points and grabbing a game-best 14 rebounds, including three blocks. As a team, NJIT out-rebounded the Lady Bisons 41-to-28 (four shy the season-high mark). Freshman guard Kenna Squier led the Highlanders with 18 points, shooting 6-for-11 from the field, 2-of-5 from three-point range and a perfect 4-for-4 from the free throw line. Zach Cooks (24 points) and San Antonio Brinson (17 points) carried the load as NJIT rolled to a 75-57 ASUN victory over Lipsomb. Reilly Walsh (11 points), Shyquan Gibbs (nine points) and Souleymane Diakite (eight points) also chipped in offensively for the Highlanders, who dished out a season-high 22 assists in the win. Gibbs and Walsh tallied five assists each, as Cooks and Brinson had four and Diakite finished with three helpers.

Guard Maddie Martin posted a career-best in points (19) and assists (7) and tie her personal-best mark with five rebounds. She finished 7-for-8 from the free throw line while the Highlanders as a team shot 85.7 percent (12-for-14).
