The Air Force Academy football team got back on track with a dominating 28-0 victory over Mountain West Conference rival New Mexico, Friday evening, Nov. 20, at Falcon Stadium. The win gave head coach Troy Calhoun his 100th career victory as the leading man for the Falcons. Air Force (2-2, 1-2 MW) earned its first shutout win since blanking Stony Brook, 38-0, in the 2018 season opener. It is the first shutout of a conference opponent since stymieing the Lobos, 42-0, back on Oct. 29, 2011. The Falcons have now won nine-straight against UNM (0-4, 0-4 MW) at home, and three-straight overall.
The 1955 San José State football team now has some company. On a clear November night in CEFCU Stadium, the 2020 Spartans jumped out to a 17-3 lead over visiting UNLV and never looked back. The final score was 34-17, moving SJSU to 4-0 for the first time in 65 years.
Carson Strong threw three touchdown passes to Romeo Doubs, who had his second consecutive game with three receiving touchdowns, and Nevada beat New Mexico 27-20 on Saturday night at Sam Boyd Stadium. Strong had a string of 299 consecutive passes without an interception snapped. It is the second-longest streak of its kind in Mountain West Conference history. Fresno State's David Carr set the record of 306 in 2013. Doubs has eight touchdown catches, including one in each game, this season. The junior came into the year with six career TDs.

In total, the Aztecs had 194 rush yards in the first 30 minutes.
One big play after another. That was the story on Saturday afternoon as Fresno State left Maverik Stadium with its third-straight win, a 35-16 victory over Utah State. The home team may have had two big plays before the Bulldogs got going but Fresno State quarterback Jake Haener wouldn't let those be the last of the game. The redshirt junior quarterback tossed a career-high 422 yards and four touchdowns, passing at a clip of 76.3 percent (29-of-38). It was the most passing yards by a Fresno State quarterback since Derek Carr's 2013 Mountain West championship game performance. Fifteen of Haener's completions were 10 or more yards, including touchdown throws of 44, 59 and 71 yards.
