The Colonel-pilot Milenko Pavlović Air Base , commonly known as Batajnica Air Base (Serbian: Војни аеродром Батајница, romanized: Vojni aerodrom Batajnica) (IATA: BJY, ICAO: LYBT) is the main military air base of Serbia. It is located between Batajnica and Nova Pazova, about 25 km northwest from the center of Belgrade, Serbia.

Batajnica mass graves

The Batajnica mass graves, are graves that were found in 2001 near Batajnica, a suburb of Belgrade, the capital of Serbia. The graves contained 744 Kosovo Albanians, civilians, killed during the 1998-99 Kosovo War.The mass graves were found on the training grounds of a Serbian police unit, the Special Anti-Terrorist Unit .Dead bodies were brought to the site by trucks from Kosovo; most were incinerated before burial.
