Yupanquia is a genus of South American tangled nest spiders containing the single species, Yupanquia schiapelliae. It was first described by Pekka T. Lehtinen in 1967, and has only been found in Argentina.
Pachacuti Inca Yupanqui was the ninth Sapa Inca (1418–1471/1472) of the Kingdom of Cusco which he transformed into the Inca Empire (Quechua: Tawantinsuyu). Most archaeologists now believe that the famous Inca site of Machu Picchu was built as an estate for Pachacuti.In Quechua Pachakutiq means "he who overturns space and time" (though more commonly translated as "earth shaker"), and Yupanki means "with honor".
