Taksony Sportegyesület is a professional football club based in Taksony, Pest County, Hungary, that competes in the Nemzeti Bajnokság III, the third tier of Hungarian football.
Named after the last pagan ruling prince, Taksony of Hungary, Taksony is a village of roughly 6,000 inhabitants roughly 23 kilometers south of Budapest, on the bank of the Ráckeve branch of the Danube known as Kisduna (Little Danube). Taksony is known for its many natural springs and tranquil scenery and serves as a haven for fishermen, boaters and summer vacationers.
Taksony was the Grand Prince of the Hungarians after their catastrophic defeat in the 955 Battle of Lechfeld. In his youth he had participated in plundering raids in Western Europe, but during his reign the Hungarians only targeted the Byzantine Empire.
