Frýdlant, sometimes cited also as Frýdlant v Čechách is a town in the Liberec District of the Liberec Region in the Czech Republic.
Frýdlant nad Ostravicí ; Latin: Vriedlant) is a small town in the Moravian-Silesian Region of the Czech Republic. It lies on the Ostravice River at the foot of Lysá hora, the highest mountain of the Moravian-Silesian Beskids.
In 1864, a committee for construction of normal gauge railway line Zittau - Reichenau - Frýdlant - Liegnitz (Legnica) was established. Negotiations with governments and investors failed.
