Buchlovice is a market town (městys) in Uherské Hradiště District in the Zlín Region of the Czech Republic. The town covers an area of 31.96 square kilometres (12.34 sq mi), and has a population of 2,487 (as at 25 February 2008).

Buchlovice Castle

Buchlovice castle is a castle about 10 kilometres (6 mi) west of Uherské Hradiště, in south-east Moravia, Czech Republic. Its history is closely connected with nearby Buchlov Castle which grew more and more uncomfortable in the late 17th century, and that is why Jan Dětřich of Petřwald decided to build a new castle.
