The Stony Brook Seawolves are the athletic teams of Stony Brook University in Stony Brook, New York, United States. The school competes at the Division I level of the National Collegiate Athletic Association and participates in the America East Conference for all sports except football, in which they participate as an associate member of the Colonial Athletic Association, and women's tennis, which competes as an associate member of the Missouri Valley Conference.

He was with the Seawolves from the first season in program history in 1984 and successfully transitioned the Seawolves to Division I in the 1990s and early 2000s and joined the Northeast Conference offering scholarships in the football program for the first time.
