David Backes and Jake DeBrusk also scored for the injury-riddled Bruins, who extended their point streak to five games (3-0-2). Tuukka Rask made 31 saves for Boston, which has been without five regulars from its lineup. Jonathan Drouin and Tomas Tatar scored for Montreal, and Carey Price made 32 saves. The Canadiens' winless streak reached four games (0-2-2). Moore, a defenseman, got the winner while Drouin was serving a four-minute, double-minor penalty for a high stick against Backes. It was Moore's first goal of the season, his first in Boston. David Krejci started the play on the side wall, feeding a pass to the front of the net where Backes was stationed. Backes tried to make a pass to the far post, but it deflected off a Montreal defenseman and right to Moore in the left faceoff circle. His blast gave Price no chance. Trailing 2-0, Montreal rallied in the third period. Drouin scored at 6:46 off assists from Karl Alzner and Victor Mete. Drouin gathered the puck at his own blue line and skated through three Boston players before slipping a shot between Rask's pads, the puck trickling over the goal line. Tatar tied it with a power-play goal at 10:09 with assists from Andrew Shaw and Kenny Agostino. The Bruins scored twice in a 1:41 span late in the first period. Backes opened the scoring at 13:01 with an unassisted goal, stealing the puck from rookie Montreal forward Jesperi Kotkaniemi at the Canadiens' blue line and beating Price with a wrist shot from between the faceoff circles. It was Backes' first goal of the season. DeBrusk made it 2-0 at 14:42. Bruins defenseman Torey Krug took a pass from Krejci and set up behind the Montreal net. Canadiens storm back to top Capitals Max Domi scored the go-ahead goal with 21.1 seconds left as the host Montreal Canadiens posted three goals in the final four minutes and defeated the Washington Capitals 6-4 on Thursday night. The Canadiens started quickly and held leads of 1-0 and then 3-1 early in the second period before Washington scored three straight later in the period. Washington had a one-goal lead until Montreal rallied for those three late goals. Jesperi Kotkaniemi scored the second of his two goals with 3:04 left and tied the game at four. Domi then stole the puck in the defensive end, raced up ice and fired a shot off goalie Braden Holtby's glove that gave the Canadiens a 5-4 lead. Joel Armia (one goal, one assist) added an empty-net goal for the 6-4 final. Alex Ovechkin and Lars Eller both scored twice for Washington in the finale of its four-game road trip. Montreal took a 1-0 lead when Kotkaniemi took a quick pass from Armia and fired a shot past Holtby 2:28 into the game. That was his first NHL goal. But Washington tied it when Eller scored at 6:16. Matt Niskanen (two assists) took a shot from near the blue line that got deflected over to Eller in the left circle, and he easily put it away to make it 1-1. The second period featured a flurry of goals -- starting with two from Montreal's Brendan Gallagher early. He scored 32 seconds into the period and then again at 3:06 to give the Canadiens a 3-1 lead as the Capitals appeared to be struggling. But that changed pretty quickly. Ovechkin cut the lead to 3-2 at 6:49 by one-timing a slick backhand pass from Evgeny Kuznetsov. Then, just 70 seconds later, Eller tied the game by one-timing a pass from Brett Connolly.
