Paul George re-signed. He shook hands with OKC. He looked them in the eye. Then Kawhi Leonard made a phone call and everything changed. Here's what nobody tells you. The Paul George trade to the Clippers wasn't a trade request. It wasn't leaked by insiders. It wasn't built over months of drama. It was one private conversation kawhi to PG, direct line before OKC knew anything was wrong. And it gets worse. The Clippers surrendered the largest single-player draft haul in NBA history four unprotected firsts, two pick swaps, SGA, and Gallinari just to pull this off. That's how badly they wanted it. That's how little leverage OKC had. The best part? Oklahoma City thunder ,the team that lost their franchise player overnight used that exact haul to build something better. Meanwhile the Clippers, with Kawhi Leonard AND Paul George on the same roster, never made a Finals. One of the most shocking NBA trades ever. And it started with a phone call nobody was on. The Clippers never won a championship. OKC got SGA. Draw your own conclusions. If the biggest NBA trades ever break your brain, you're on the right channel. The Nebraska baseball team is looking to bounce back after a difficult weekend at Ohio State, where the Huskers were swept in a three-game series. Nebraska entered that series ranked No. 16 nationally but has since dropped to No. 25 in the D1Baseball poll and No. 24 in the coaches poll. The shift in rankings carries postseason implications, as the top 16 teams in the country typically host an NCAA regional. While that goal remains within reach, the Huskers will likely need a strong finish to the regular season. Nebraska begins that push this weekend with its final home series at Haymarket Park against Iowa. “Kind of just flushing it and leaving it in Ohio,” Short Stop Dylan Carrey said. “There’s no reason to think about it when we’re at home and have an opportunity this next week.” The Huskers emphasized regrouping after the series, focusing on both corrections and positives. “It wasn’t how we wanted it to go,” Pitcher Jalen Worthley said. “It was pretty sloppy all around, but you learn from it. You don’t want to dwell on it too much, but you do want to acknowledge what you’re doing wrong.” Head coach Will Bolt said the team is working to regain its energy and consistency, including a key change to the pitching staff. Ty Horn is expected to move from the bullpen back into the starting rotation for the series against the Hawkeyes. Nebraska is aiming for a strong close to the season, with seven regular-season games remaining. First pitch for the Iowa series is set for Friday night at 6 PM CST at Haymarket Park. Saturday and Sunday games are scheduled for the first pitch at 2 PM CST. #nebraskabaseball #huskers #cornhuskers #huskersbaseball #bigtenbaseball

The SF Giants are 14-23 and officially in crisis mode — and the Morning Roast is not holding back. The hosts break down a brutal loss to the Padres, call out Ryan Walker's mop-up disaster in the seventh inning, and ask the question nobody wants to say out loud: is it time to DFA him entirely? From a lineup that struck out 13 times with zero walks, to Matt Chapman sitting in a cold slump while Casey Schmidt keeps raking, there's a lot going wrong in San Francisco right now. The guys also dig into how the Giants front office may have mishandled the Walker-Doval closer situation last year — and whether that set Ryan Walker up to fail from the jump. And just to put it in perspective: the last time the Giants started this badly was 1985. This isn't a slow start. This is a dumpster fire. Topics discussed include: Ryan Walker giving up two home runs in the seventh inning — and why fans are booing Giants offense strikes out 13 times, draws zero walks Matt Chapman's hitting slump vs. Casey Schmidt's breakout Willy Adames looking lost at the plate Did the Giants ruin Ryan Walker by mismanaging the closer role? The 14-23 record and the last time the Giants started this poorly Matt Chapman finally talks to the media after the loss What do YOU think needs to change for the Giants to turn it around? The Los Angeles Lakers DOMINATED In Game 1 SETS OFF Gil's Arena as Gilbert Arenas & the Gil's Arena Crew react to the beatdown handed out by the OKC Thunder in Game 1 of their NBA Playoff series against the Los Angeles Lakers and debate if LeBron James and the Lake Show are in trouble after getting man handled in an offensive masterclass despite the lowest scoring playoff game from Shai Gilgeous Alexander. They break down how the Lakers should approach Game 2 after such a poor showing to start off the series and discuss if the team has any chance to win with Austin Reaves not looking like himself and Luka Doncic still on the sidelines. Next, they give their biggest takeaways from Game 1 of the Detroit Pistons vs Cleveland Cavaliers series as Cade Cunningham and the 'Stons continued their hot streak by winning their 4th game in a row since going down 3-1 to the Orlando Magic and react to James Harden's struggles to hang on to the ball as The Beard has suffered 40 turnovers in his first 8 playoff games. They then react to the breaking news of Joel Embiid being ruled out for Game 2 of the Philadelphia 76ers NBA Playoff series against the New York Knicks and discuss how the loss of their superstar changes things for the Sixers before giving their take on what went wrong for the Boston Celtics as they blew a 3-1 lead to Embiid's 76ers and caused Jaylen Brown to spiral into a public crashout. Finally, they also dissect what went wrong for Nikola Jokic & The Denver Nuggets as they failed to make a deep playoff run once again and discuss what's next for Jokic and the team as they look to get back on top of the NBA.
