🥊 FIGHT DESCRIPTION: Crawford the unbeaten WBO welterweight champion from Omaha, Nebraska, USA, defended his title against Egidijus “Mean Machine” Kavaliauskas, the determined challenger from Kaunas, Lithuania. The bout took place at the historic Madison Square Garden in New York City. From the opening rounds, Kavaliauskas came out aggressive, landing sharp right hands and showing he wasn’t intimidated by Crawford’s reputation. At one point early in the fight, he even forced Crawford to stumble, creating suspense for the crowd. Crawford, however, quickly settled in, using his trademark switch-hitting style and timing to break through the Lithuanian’s guard. As the fight progressed, Crawford’s precision and power began to overwhelm Kavaliauskas. In the seventh round, Crawford landed a series of clean shots that put the challenger down for the first time. He scored two more knockdowns in the ninth round, unleashing combinations that forced the referee to step in.
