Bezprecedensowy rekord świata polskiego narciarza i himalaisty Andrzeja Bargiela (urodzonego w 1988 roku), który 22 lipca 2018 roku dokonał pierwszego w historii pełnego zjazdu na nartach ze szczytu drugiej co do wysokości i najtrudniejszej góry planety — K2 (Czagori, 8611 m). K2 uważana jest za najtrudniejszy szczyt do zdobycia ze wskaźnikiem śmiertelności bliskim 25%. Do 2018 roku żadnemu alpiniście na świecie nie udało się zjechać na nartach z samego wierzchołka do bazy. Szczegóły i niezwykłe fakty, których nie było w filmie: • Andrzej Bargiel wszedł na szczyt K2 bez użycia dodatkowego tlenu z butli. • Zjazd odbywał się po niezwykle trudnej kombinacji dróg: ze szczytu linią Messnera, następnie drogą Kukuczka-Piotrowski oraz Césen przez słynną „Szyjkę Butełkową” (Bottleneck) i seraki. • Ogromną rolę w sukcesie odegrał brat Andrzeja — Bartek Bargiel, który używał specjalnie zmodyfikowanego drona. Dron wzbijał się na wysokość ponad 8600 metrów, prowadząc zwiad niebezpiecznych szczelin i zagrożeń lawinowych. • Na wysokości 8000 metrów zjazd skomplikowała gęsta mgła, przez co Bargiel musiał przeczekać około godziny na wąskim gzymsie lodowym. • Całkowity czas zjazdu ze szczytu (8611 m) do bazy (5300 m) wyniósł około 7 godzin. • Za ten fenomenalny zjazd Andrzej Bargiel otrzymał międzynarodową nagrodę National Geographic „Adventurer of the Year” oraz najwyższe odznaczenia sportowe w Polsce.
