POGACAR e HIGUITA se dieron leña en la etapa reina del Tour de California
A la etapa 6 del tour de california 2019 llagaron Tadej Pogacar de 20 años y Sergio Higuita de 21 años a dar al ciclismo una gran batalla en un premio final de 8.5 km al 8% de desnivel con rampas hasta del 16%, las jóvenes promesas estaban separados por 12 segundos a favor del esloveno. Tanto Higuita como Pogacar aun no estaban en la memoria del ciclismo y esta era la oportunidad para comenzar a hacerse un hueco en el deporte. En la etapa reina como fuga solo quedó schachmann, quien en solitario con su particular movimiento de cabeza dejó el pelotón al inicio del puerto. Eran pocos segundos los que separaban al del Bora con el grupo de los gallos. Mientras tanto el education First halaba del grupo principal, tenían al líder Tejay Van Garderen, de ahí su compromiso. SERGIO HIGUITA 🇨🇴 y el gran sprint en la ETAPA REINA del Tour de Romandie
Sergio Higuita Gana la etapa 4 del Tour de Romandie La etapa reina del Tour de romania se disputaría en el puerto final de primera categoría donde llegaría el pelotón comandado por el Jumbo Visma, el equipo amarillo destrozó las opciones de la fuga a falta de 10 km en ese momento Einer Rubio el colombiano del Movistar fue el Único valiente del pelotón, arrancó a buscar el premio mayor del Dia. Pedaleo y pedaleo por largos 10 km el jumbo Visma a un solo ritmo lo mantenía a 15 segundos, en algún momento se pensó que la etapa era del colombiano, pero en el km final la renta se vino abajo y en los 300 metros finales lastimosamente fue alcanzado el valiente de apellido Rubio. Pero el amarillo azul y rojo no moriría ahí 100 metros después fue el monstruo Sergio Higuita que esprintó, tal vez precipitado porque en la montaña 200 metros son eternos, se le veía mostrar los dientes al pequeño ciclista mientras los demás lo intentaban Vlasov su compañero de equipo salió por el otro costado a apoyar el esprint y celebrar la victoria de su compañero, Sergio Higuita se llevó la etapa y la cuarta alergia en esta temporada. Nuevamente triunfa el campeón nacional de Colombia en Europa.
