James Harden - Superb Separation (Iso King) 17/18 (Finishing)
James Harden - Superb Separation (Iso King) 17/18 (Finishing)

James Harden. 2018 NBA Most Valuable Player. 6x NBA All-Star. 4x All-NBA First Teamer. 2013 All-NBA Third Team. 2012’s Sixth Man of the Year. Led the league in assists in 2017 (and finished second in scoring). 2018’s scoring champion. 2x USA Basketball Gold Medalist (2012 Olympics in London and the 2014 FIBA World Cup of Basketball in Spain). The Beard is a bucket, and an abusive one at that. He gave it to defenses in every conceivable way: Harden was the league leader in points per game (30.4), 3 point field goals made (265, compared to second place Paul George’s 244) and attempted, free throws made (624, compared to second place Anthony Davis’ 495) and attempted (on 86% shooting), he also generated 8.8 assists per game (good for third in the league, behind Russell Westbrook and LeBron James). He lead the league in Player Efficiency Rating (PER) with 29.8, Win Shares, Box Plus/Minus, and finished second to only LeBron James in terms of his Value Over Replacement Player. **Quick aside, in case you're looking for the thumbnail where he makes Corey Brewer MOONWALK, it's the very last clip** The Beard broke down defenses with his dizzying, dazzling dribbling. He danced and danced until his defenders were dazed and confused. Until they rocked to and fro from his riveting and rhythmic movements. He’d shift and tilt and jab and jerk and juke and then hesitate and devastate. He had his guy whirling and twirling and then he’d turn on the afterburners with his frightfully forceful first step and then it was over. He’d either muscle his way to the cup, read the direction the defense is leaning and fire the perfect pass, bust out the insane in-between game he’s honed over the years, or rock his signature stepback for a more or less (to him) open jumper. (Then again, what else would you have expected from the man when he works with PJ Performance? If you haven’t given that guy a follow yet, I would strongly recommend it. A link is available in my “featured channels” section. His page is crucial for basketball knowledge and to become a better athlete in general.) The Rockets decided that the optimal way to play this past season was to utilize two of best shot creators in the league. With Harden’s potential being truly unlocked by the D’Antoni/move to point guard fusion in 2016/17, many wondered how exactly Chris Paul’s arrival would impact Harden. What ended up happening seemed like an anomaly. In the era of pace and space, and secondary break action, Harden and Paul were isolating for large chunks of the shot clock. The reason was obvious: from day one, they were preparation and perfecting a game plan with which to attack the practically unbeatable Golden State Warriors: work the early offense and get a great shot, or use their flow to force a mismatch via the switch, and isolate and devastate that switch. Ultimately, it resulted in falling just short (by virtue of missing a historic number of three point field goal attempts (giving annoying life to pointless argument “live by the three, die by the three”)) of doing something that seemed unimaginable since Kevin Durant decided to take his talents to the 73-9 Warriors…but man oh man, did James Harden light up the league in the about 90 games he played this season. These are for the regular season only, and feature no jumpers or passes. But here's part 1 of my other video of (about separation and jumpers): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0TsdfxS8AVM And here's part 2 of that: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1VA7VbvSURU If you'd like to support: Venmo - @Evin_Gual Cash App - $EvinGual Patreon - https://www.patreon.com/evin_gual

Atmosphere - Sean Daley - Anthony Davis - Duluth Bayfront Festival Park Minnesota

The group is composed of the rapper Slug (Sean Daley) and the DJ/producer Ant (Anthony Davis). With the exception of a few tracks on the album Lucy Ford, Ant has produced every Atmosphere record. A former member and co-founder Spawn (Derek Turner, now going by the name "Rek The Heavyweight") left the group after the release of the group's first album Overcast!. Mr. Dibbs, a DJ associated with the group, toured with Atmosphere before their You Can't Imagine How Much Fun We're Having tour, at which point Ant began touring. Sean Daley and Derek Turner met in high school. The two took the names Slug and D-Spawn, respectively, as rapper names. They initially performed under the name "Mental Subjects", before changing the name to "A Rhythmic Culture", and finally settling on "Urban Atmosphere". Originally, Spawn performed as the rapper, with Slug acting as DJ. Eventually Spawn convinced Slug to start rapping as well. Through the rapper Musab (then known as Beyond), Slug was introduced to the producer Ant after they went to his house to record a track. Slug saw an opportunity to work with Ant and convinced Spawn to record further with him. They soon started recording songs with Ant, learning how to structure songs properly and practicing vocal delivery. Eventually the group dropped the "Urban" from their name. Atmosphere, as a group, joined with other rappers Musab, Phull Surkle, Black Hole, and The Abstract Pack to form a collective known as Headshots. This group later evolved into the record label Rhymesayers. Over time, a series of cassettes was released under the Headshots name which earned some local acclaim. By 1996, Slug, Stress and Musab were making national appearances such as on NPR's All Things Considered. The start of Rhymesayers as a record label came when Siddiq, fed up with their treatment at a number of local studios, decided to buy his own. Spawn left the group 3 years after their first album, Overcast!, was released. The release of Overcast! allowed a wider audience to be introduced to Atmosphere, largely thanks to the airplay that the single "Scapegoat" received on college radio stations. Meanwhile, Slug improved his live performance skills at Minneapolis clubs such as First Avenue and 7th Street Entry. In 1998, two albums recorded by underground rap supergroups involved Atmosphere. The Dynospectrum involved Atmosphere as well as Beyond (Musab), Swift (of Phull Surkle) and I Self Divine. Deep Puddle Dynamics released by the Oakland, California, based underground rap label Anticon, included Slug, Sole, Alias and Doseone rapping over beats by Jel. Now touring nationally on a more regular basis (the twenty-one date Ford One Tour brought them to the East Coast for the first time), Slug was able to leave his job at a record store, as well as a second job working overnight shifts at a department store. In 2000, the Rhymesayers-owned record store, The Fifth Element, was opened in Minneapolis. In 2001, the two EPs, Ford and Lucy, were combined and released as an LP titled Lucy Ford: The Atmosphere EPs. Originally intended as a tour-only release, it sold so well that it was later released as an official LP, making it the only Atmosphere album with producers other than Ant. In 2001, Atmosphere made three separate tours across North America and Europe. With Lucy Ford, Atmosphere also finally achieved national distribution through the independent distributor Fat Beats. Atmosphere planned to release their second studio album God Loves Ugly on June 11, 2002, but experienced delays in editing. The record had more straightforward, almost battle-centric, lyrics from Slug. It was distributed nationally, again through Fat Beats, and sold over 130,000 copies. The album generated two singles: "Modern Man's Hustle" and "GodLovesUgly". Atmosphere toured extensively in support of this record, going as far as Europe and Japan, playing sixty shows in seventy-one days. After the tour, Daley spent his holidays in the Australian outback. The success of the album and subsequent tours came to the attention of the major labels Interscope, Sony and Warner Brothers. However, for the time, Atmosphere decided to stay independent.
