England trained at their headquarters in St. George's Park ahead of their flight to Warsaw to face Poland in their World Cup qualifier. Gareth Southgate's side currently top Group I with 15 points, five clear of the second-placed Poles following back-to-back wins against Hungary and Andorra. Southgate is expected to revert to the team that beat Hungary 4-0 in Budapest with captain Harry Kane, Raheem Sterling and Harry Maguire among those rested for the victory over Andorra. England have won all five qualifiers to date with victory on September 8th set to further boost their chances of taking the automatic berth for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. Comandado por Mozart, o time celeste chegou ao sétimo jogo consecutivo sem vitória ao ser superado por 1 a 0 pelo Remo, nesta terça-feira. Após o duelo, em Belém-PA, o treinador deixou seu futuro nas mãos da diretoria e disse compreender a 'pressão externa'. "Tenho clima (para permanecer). Com certeza. Minha relação com os jogadores é ótima. Mais uma vez tenho que enaltecer o que eles fizeram. Claro que a derrota dói pela maneira que se desenhou o jogo, que estava equilibrado. O menino (Victor Andrade) acertou um chute de rara felicidade, que talvez tenha sido a única oportunidade que eles criaram no primeiro tempo", analisou Mozart. "Eu jamais vou abaixar a guarda. Esses jogadores, tenho certeza, também não. Aí se eu vou permanecer, se não vou, fica a cargo da diretoria. Eu entendo a pressão externa, a pressão da torcida, entendo tudo. Se a diretoria achar por bem existir uma mudança, eu vou achar natural, justamente pela questão dos resultados. Mas acredito que podemos reverter. Hoje demonstramos que podemos reverter", complementou. Mozart comandou o Cruzeiro em 11 jogos até aqui. São duas vitórias, cinco empates e quatro derrotas - aproveitamento de 36,4% dos pontos disputados. Desde que foi rebaixado, a Raposa nunca havia ficado tanto tempo sem somar três pontos. Na última semana, o dia a dia do Cruzeiro foi marcado por dois protestos. O primeiro, no domingo, quando a Máfia Azul, principal torcida organizada do clube, invadiu a Toca da Raposa II para cobrar resultados.
