There's a mood of celebration in India after the successful landing of Chandrayaan. Not much is going to dampen it today but as far as the cricket is concerned the weather in Dublin is a bit of a dampener. The toss has been delayed due to rain. India lead the series 2-0 having put in a strong performance in the previous match. Some good runs for Ruturaj Gaikwad Sanju Samson and Rinku Singh followed by another cracking effort from Jasprit Bumrah who's hardly showing any rustiness of being out for so long. Prasidh Krishna was very impressive with his pace and bounce as well boding well for India's pace stocks. Nothing new from the middle as it is still raining and the waiting game continues. We can only hope that it clears up quickly and that we get to see some action. Prasidh Krishna (India): "Yes it's a proud day for us. We have been following the moon landing [on Chandrayaan 3 moon landing] in the team bus and followed it to the ground. We saw it there. Really happy after being selected in the squad for Asia Cup. It's gonna be the same process for me. I think yeah I am getting into groove. I have been running well. I would be looking execute things well. I think is about being consistent what I wanna do. If I am able to execute what I am trying to do it's going to be good for me. It's an important match for me. The covers are firmly on. Super Sopper is moving around! It's still drizzling and the covers are placed. We can only expect the weather to ease off. Uh oh! Unfortunately it currently raining at The Village in Malahide and the covers are firmly in place. a result toss has been delayed for now. Let's keep our fingers crossed and hope that the weather clears up soon for us to have a prompt start. We are nearing the end of yet another bilateral series as Ireland and India square off for one last time in the 3rd and final T20I at Malahide in Dublin. As most of us would have expected the visitors have an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series but Ireland have certainly had their moments and did have a chance in the first match that was cut short due to rain. India though won the second game fairly convincingly the batters put on a stellar show and then the bowlers backed them up as well. Having put bat by the Irish skipper Paul Stirling. the pair of Yashasvi Jaiswal and Ruturaj Gaikwad started firing early but they did lose a couple of quick wickets in the Powerplay. Gaikwad played the anchor role and scored a half-century before the likes of Sanju Samson Shivam Dube and Rinku Singh really upped the tempo. It was Singh who impressed most on his first-ever senior outing with the bat at the International level. Ireland a similar story with the bat from the first game as they lost early wickets but Balbirnie looked in sublime touch and went on to score 72. While chasing a score of more than 180 you do need more one batter to step up and unfortunately for the home side no one else got a 30-40 odd with tailenders Adair cutting the deficit with a fine cameo. The Indian skipper Jasprit Bumrah looked very close to his best with the ball and led his side pretty well too. He will now have his focus on making a clean sweep but we might see the likes of Jitesh Sharma and a few others a game. Ireland do have enough individual talent to really challenge the Indian side but Paul Stirling needs to take more responsibility with the bat and their ace pacer Little needs to fire as well. India have taken a 1-0 lead in the series with a five-wicket win but would be looking to iron out their flaws in the second game while for the Windies it is a must-win game to keep the series alive. A win here will be a big boost for the Men in Maroon and let's see how they go about their business in the second ODI at the beautiful Kensington Oval Barbados. India were brilliant with the ball in the first game and hunted down Windies for just 114. The spinners did the trick with 7 wickets between them as Kuldeep took a four-wicket haul in just three overs. Mukesh Kumar the debutant also showed a lot of promise and we can expect India to go with the same bowling attack. As far as batting is concerned India were in a mood of experimentation. Ishan Kishan opened the innings while Suryakumar Yadav batted at 3. But India could not end the chase in a clinical fashion as they lost five wickets on their way. Ishan though scored a fighting fifty in testing conditions which are good signs for India. However India's middle order conundrum is getting mysterious day by day and we might see Samson getting a nod ahead of misfiring Suryakumar Yadav in the second ODI. West Indies on the other hand just need to find a way to apply themselves with the bat. The strike-rotation has been missing in their game for a long time now and they have been guilty of throwing their wickets in a bid to play big shots. Shai Hope has been a lone warrior in the past and he was in the first game too but the likes of Mayers Powell and Hetmyer need to take more responsibility as well. On the bowling front Hope will be happy with the way his bowlers fought till the end. Motie bowled beautifully and he will have to play a big role in the second game too. They might also bring Alzarri Joseph back in the XI for this do-or-die game and we might see a more resilient Windies unit in the second ODI. Let's hope for a cracking encounter. Kuldeep Yadav preferred over Yuzvendra Chahal for the first match. West Indies Team News: Keacy Carty Alzarri Joseph Oshane Thomas and Kevin Sinclair were the ones to sit out for the first game. Among them Carty is an option in the batting order with Mayers not having had a good run in ODIs of late. Carty meanwhile had scored 87 in his previous outing against Sri Lanka. Shai Hope who top-scored with 43 will be hoping for some kind of support at the other end and will expect the batters to show better application with their shot-making going forward. India Team News: The visitors may not make too many changes as they look to give the current lot another go to audition for the World Cup. They are likely to remain unchanged. They are likely to continue with such experiments both with their batting and bowling in second ODI as they look to seal the series and extend their winning streak against the West Indies in ODIs to 10 games. Mukesh was decent in his debut game while India also tried Pandya as their opening bowler with some success. What to expect: There was enough bounce and spin on offer during the first ODI helping the pacers and spinners alike. India might look to bat first should they win the toss in the second game to give their batters some challenge should the pitch turn out anything similar for the second game. Showers are forecast in the first half of the day and might lead to some interruptions. will hoping for some kind of support other end and will expect batters show better application with their shot-making going forward.
