The Fighting Irish won their first true road game since February 2022 by defeating the Yellow Jackets in Atlanta, 75-68 in overtime. Georgia Tech's Baye Ndongo hit a three-pointer with 5.5 seconds left to force overtime. In the extra period, it was all Notre Dame, outscoring Georgia Tech 9-2. Freshman Braeden Shrewsberry led the Fighting Irish, scoring a career-high 25 points. Fellow freshman Markus Burton had 12 points, seven assists, and three rebounds. For Georgia Tech, Miles Kelly hit seven three-pointers on his way to scoring 25 points. Ndongo finished the game with 16 points and nine rebounds.

The NC State Wolfpack battled throughout the game and got heroics from big man DJ Burns, Jr. as they beat the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, 54-52. With the score tied at 52 and less than 4 seconds remaining on the clock, Burns, Jr. made a great move in the post to shake free and bury the go-ahead layup. Burns scored a team-high 13 points in the win. The Irish came into the game hot, built a double-digit first-half lead and led until the final moments. Notre Dame was led by freshman Markus Burton, who scored a game-high 18 points in a losing effort.
