Stav, kdy tělo vypoví službu kvůli únavě, se nebere jako důvod k ošetření. Verdikt rozhodčího byl jasný: „Buď budeš hned pokračovat, nebo zápas končí.“ Každý další pohyb vyžadoval nadlidské úsilí. Soupeřka byla blízko obratu, ale Caroline Wozniacká ukázala neuvěřitelnou vnitřní sílu. Nevzdala se a zápas dotáhla do vítězného konce, i když po něm bez cizí pomoci sotva udělala krok. Právě tento nezlomný charakter ji o rok později, v pouhých 20 letech, vynesl na samotný vrchol – stala se světovou jedničkou. Turnaj mistryň v Dauhá, říjen 2009.
