Und wie konnte Alonso danach weiterfahren und sogar noch Punkte holen (zumindest vorerst)? Denn: Der Zwischenfall sollte ein Nachspiel haben! Haas legte nach Rennende in Texas Protest gegen Sergio Perez und Alonso ein – beide wären mit beschädigtem Auto weitergefahren. Ein Szenario für das Kevin Magnussen in dieser Formel 1 Saison mehrfach an die Box kommen musste. Perez hatte Glück, Alonso verlor den Lohn für seine heldenhafte Fahrt! Er dürfte selbst wahrscheinlich dazu sagen: Eines seiner besten Rennen. Das lieferte auch Sebastian Vettel ab! Sebastian Vettel shocked the F1 world on Thursday when he announced he will retire at the end of 2022. The four-time world champion was coming to the end of his initial two-year deal with Aston Martin at the end of this year. What Aston Martin's dreadful 2022 form means for Sebastian Vettel's F1 future
The start of the 2022 Formula 1 season has fallen well short of Sebastian Vettel’s expectations for Aston Martin. Vettel is out of contract at the end of the year and even before the 2022 cars had hit the track in pre-season testing it was clear that his future would be a big talking point. The four-time world champion was betting on the immense potential of the Aston Martin project to extend and revitalise his career after being shuffled out at Ferrari.
