Scottie Barnes stands 6 feet, 8 inches tall but don't let that fool you. He's a legitimate perimeter player with all the tools to play on the ball, even if you don't want to technically list him as a point guard. Averaging a little over 7 assists on the EYBL this season (led NTF in that category), Barnes brought that passing prowess to Vegas with him and showed college scouts, as well as LeBron James, what he's able to do for himself and others with the rock in his hands. 7th grader Trevor Hilmo showed the perfect example of mental toughness and a short memory on the basketball court Saturday at the CP3NMSC. After being on the wrong end of a vicious crossover during the drills portion, Hilmo channeled his inner CP3 and dished out the nastiest crossover of the camp shortly after in his first game of the weekend. The fact that he didn't allow a negative play dictate how the rest of his day was going to go was the most impressive part of this scenario in my eyes. Not to mention he wouldn't miss the entire game as well. Make sure to follow HoopDiamonds on all our social platforms!
