#livestream #ipl2024 #cricket IPL 2024 Live: SRH vs LSG, Match 57 | IPL Live Score & Commentary | Hyderabad vs Lucknow Live Match Business query: info.iqbalsports@gmail.com Preview: Sunrisers Hyderabad will look to escape another setback in their playoff campaign when they host Lucknow Super Giants today at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. Both teams are vying for a spot in the season's playoffs and come into the game after losing. Lucknow lost by 98 runs to the Kolkata Knight Riders, while Hyderabad was thrashed by 7 wickets by the Mumbai Indians. SRH is fourth on the points table, having won six of their eleven matches. They've won two of their last five matches. LSG has won six of their eleven matches and is in fifth place on the points table. Lucknow has won three of its last five matches. Hyderabad and Lucknow have faced off in three IPL matches so far. LSG has won all three, whereas Hyderabad is yet to win a game against its North Indian opponents. SRH's highest score versus the Super Giants thus far is 182. LSG's greatest total versus SRH was 185. SRH and LSG clashed on May 13, last year. Prerak Mankad of Lucknow was named Player of the Match after scoring 64 off 45 balls while pursuing 182/6. LSG won the match by seven wickets. Lucknow has concluded all of its home games, and their AWAY record is split, with two wins and two losses. With the Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals on a late winning streak, there are no guarantees, and LSG would like to grab two points on Thursday, while the Sunrisers would be sure of making the playoffs with three home games remaining, having won three of their last four. The pitch at Hyderabad... The Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad benefits batters. It provides flat and durable tracks with an equal bounce. Pacers are unlikely to have a significant impact, although spinners may benefit from the pitch. Predictions... According to Google's WIN probability, Hyderabad has a 55% chance of beating Lucknow in their 12th encounter. We at Iqbal Sports and Cricket Unfold too feel SRH will beat LSG. The Sunrisers were in a new shape this season, and they appear to be ready to break their losing streak against LSG. The equation is simple for Lucknow. A win takes them through to the playoffs regardless of what happens elsewhere. They might still go through even if they lose but for that to happen they need at least one of MI or RCB to lose tomorrow. As for KKR they need nothing short of a miracle to make the playoffs from here. Not only are they relying on other results they also need a massive win in this game to improve their NRR. To be precise they need to beat LSG by at least 110 runs if they score 180 batting first to climb above RCB on the table. So a 74-run stand between Nicholas Pooran and Ayush Badoni revives Lucknow Super Giants from a terrible situation. The visitors have got 176 runs on the board and thanks to some calypso power. Nitish Rana the skipper of the Kolkata Knight Riders won the toss and elected to bowl first. It was the two young guns- Harshit Rana and Vaibhav Arora who operated with the new ball. It was Harshit Rana who outsmarted the UP-based Karan Sharma in the third over of the innings. A 41 runs partnership followed between Prerak Mankad and Quinton de Kock for the second wicket with the former playing some crisp shots. But unfortunately for LSG Arora struck after the powerplay and followed it with another wicket in the same over. Stoinis who arrived then departed without disturbing the scorers much. Krunal Pandya and de Kock followed him with the scoreboard displaying 73-5 after 10.1 overs. The spinners operated in the middle phase with Suyash Sharma being the impact sub. The astonishing factor being that Suyash was given to bowl just a solitary over where he conceded 12 runs. The LSG batting came into the act with Nicholas Pooran lighting up the atmosphere at the Eden Gardens. He counter-punched the bowlers of KKR and helped the franchise reach a more than respectable total. Narine went on to remove Badoni at the end of the 18th over with Shardul Thakur bragging two scalps in the penultimate over. With some lusty blows from Krishnappa Gowtham off Andre Russell in the last over LSG ends the tally at 176. KKR will need 177 runs to get a consolation triumph. But here's a thing. If KKR scores at least 80 runs in this innings CSK will finish in the second position. Lucknow Super Giants (Playing XI): Quinton de Kock(w) Karan Sharma Prerak Mankad Marcus Stoinis Nicholas Pooran Krunal Pandya(c) Ayush Badoni Krishnappa Gowtham Ravi Bishnoi Naveen-ul-Haq Mohsin Khan. Lucknow Super Giants Subs: Kyle Mayers Yash Thakur Daniel Sams Yudhvir Singh Charak Deepak Hooda. Kolkata Knight Riders (Playing XI): Rahmanullah Gurbaz(w) Jason Roy Venkatesh Iyer Nitish Rana(c) Andre Russell Rinku Singh Shardul Thakur Sunil Narine Vaibhav Arora Harshit Rana Varun Chakaravarthy. Kolkata Knight Riders Subs: Suyash Sharma Mandeep Singh Anukul Roy N Jagadeesan David Wiese. Sunil Narine (Kolkata Knight Riders): "I think it's a good pitch if you put your mind into it you can bowl well. There is a bit of spin but you have to bowl a little quick. I think the situation of the game depends on how you bowl so it depends on the best option for you. If we get a good start in the powerplay I think we should come out victorious. No dew in the pitch it's pretty dry." Audio Content Disclaimer For This Content This is self-created content and not copied content. Both teams have had a break of six days before this game and are currently level on four wins each. Punjab have done a great job to be in this position despite some key players missing. Their last couple of victories haven't come because of one or two players. Instead different names have stepped up with the bat in the absence of Shikhar Dhawan while the bowling has largely been brilliant throughout - the highlight being that over from Arshdeep Singh at the Wankhede. How good was that! And how much better can Punjab do if Dhawan and Rabada were to return now! Some unbelievable strikes and continuous power hitting from Kyle Mayers Ayush Badoni Marcus Stoinis and Nicholas Pooran have helped the LSG side to post the highest total this season. Only the second time 250+ total have been put by a team in the history of the IPL! Earlier in the evening Shikhar Dhawan won the toss and invited LSG to bat first. Kyle Mayers was going all guns blazing and added 41 runs for the first wicket in no time alongside KL Rahul. The latter was playing second fiddle to Mayers but showed intent by lofting Kagiso Rabada on his first ball for a six. But the South African pacer had the last laugh on the LSG skipper and dismissed Rahul on the next delivery. Mayers continued his onslaught and hammered his fourth fifty of the season. Ayush Badoni was promoted to number three and batted freely. Mayers and Badoni added 33 runs for the second wicket. Mayers (54 off 24) too was taken care of by Rabada in the last ball of the powerplay. LSG smoked 74 runs in the first six and lost both the openers. Badoni and Marcus Stoinis took off and smashed the bowling side to all parts of the ground stitching 89 runs for the third wicket. Following this Stoinis and Nicholas Pooran took the scoring rate up exponentially and blistered 76 runs for the fourth wicket. PBKS bowlers had no answers to this and ended up flat on the ground. While Badoni scored 43 off 24 balls Stoinis slammed 74 off 40 balls. Pooran was out in the final over but before getting trapped infront the West Indian clubbed 45 off just 17 balls as LSG posted 257/5 in the 20 overs. Punjab Kings (Playing XI): Atharva Taide Shikhar Dhawan(c) Sikandar Raza Liam Livingstone Sam Curran Jitesh Sharma(w) Shahrukh Khan Kagiso Rabada Rahul Chahar Gurnoor Brar Arshdeep Singh. Punjab Kings Subs: Prabhsimran Singh Mohit Rathee Rishi Dhawan Matthew Short Harpreet Brar. Lucknow Super Giants (Playing XI): KL Rahul(c) Kyle Mayers Deepak Hooda Marcus Stoinis Krunal Pandya Nicholas Pooran(w) Ayush Badoni Naveen-ul-Haq Ravi Bishnoi Avesh Khan Yash Thakur. Lucknow Super Giants Subs: Krishnappa Gowtham Daniel Sams Prerak Mankad Amit Mishra Mark Wood. Ayush Badoni (LSG): "I feel really good. I was waiting for this opportunity for so long and I finally got it today so really happy I could contribute. When I came on I realized that the wicket is very good and I can bat for long and I was just told to play my shots and put away the old balls. We were not thinking too much about the total but to put away the bad balls and put away the bad balls." Audio Content Disclaimer For This Content This is self-created content and not copied content. India vs New Zealand 3rd T20 Live This Match Will be Played at Narendra Modi Stadium Ahmedabad on 1st February 2023 This Match Will Start at 7.00pm From Indian Standard time. India and New Zealand will be playing against each other in the third and final match of the T20I series. After Ranchi and Lucknow the decider will be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium Ahmedabad. After a horrendous ODI series New Zealand started the shorter formats with a win under their name. Batting first the fifties from Devon Conway and Daryl Mitchell helped the Kiwis to post a total of 176 runs. India failed to chase it down despite valiant efforts from Suryakumar Yadav and Washington Sundar. The Men in Blue bounced back in the 2nd T20I after they managed to make a heavy weather of a paltry total. It was Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya who helped the side to go over the line by keeping their calm. While the visitors will be looking to redeem themselves from the ODI series against India the 'Men in Blue' will look to keep their record intact. Team news India: The hosts left out Umran Malik for a second spinner in Yuzvendra Chahal and the pitch again will dictate that decision. Team news New Zealand: The visitors have played the same side on what were slightly different surfaces and they are unlikely to make any change for the decider. While the pitch in Ranchi left Hardik Pandya "surprised" the India captain was "shocked" by what was on offer in Lucknow. And when the talk is largely about the playing surface ahead of a series decider especially with India's proud record of 12 undefeated home series on the line something's got to give. Ahmedabad the venue for the third and final T20I between India and New Zealand has had its fair share of debate around pitches in the past. And the last thing both teams would want is another tricky T20 surface that sees Lockie Ferguson bowl as many overs as Mark Chapman; or Deepak Hooda twice as many as Yuzvendra Chahal. Pitch aside India will know that there's work to be done especially with a young side that's trying to ready itself for 2024. After a breezy ODI whitewash the T20I rubber hasn't been as easy for the hosts. While the death bowling cost them in Ranchi their batting was under the scanner two days later; India got past a target of 100 with only a ball to spare. But the challenging conditions stole the thunder away hardly allowing the team to assess their progress. For example Arshdeep Singh bowled the 20th over again after copping some heat in the first T20I but that he was up against a team limping at 94/8 hardly lent credibility to his five-run last over. For New Zealand this is a great opportunity. They are without a host of their frontline players like Trent Boult Kane Williamson and Tim Southee and are in with a shot to beat India in a T20I series at home - the bragging rights for which has belonged only to Australia and West Indies in the last eight years. For Mitchell Santner's team that will be a great shot in the arm and expect the side to mount a good challenge for the hosts pitch permitting of course. What to expect: A nervous curator. And a fair few cheers for Hardik Pandya the Gujarat Titans captain who is also leading the India T20I side now. Like most Indian grounds teams have preferred to bat second here but in the last couple of games here against England India showed that it is in fact possible to defend targets here. That said those games were played in March; this one could see some fair amount of dew though. It will be interesting to see what pitch the match is played on (Ahmedabad has both red and black soil pitches) but expect the venue to be buzzing again with capacity crowds. It will also be interesting to see if Prithvi Shaw makes his much-awaited international comeback in the very first game. He will fight a virtual contest with Gill Ishan and Ruturaj Gaikwad for an opening slot in the playing XI. This series will also give the much-needed opportunities to Rahul Tripathi and Deepak Hooda to upgrade their status from fringe players to regulars in the shortest format. The visitors will look to erase the scars of the ODI series and start the T20Is on a winning note. But their journey won't be easy as they will miss ace pacers Tim Southee and Trent Boult. So the onus will be on their batting unit comprising Finn Allen Devon Conway Glenn Phillips Daryl Mitchell and the sensational Michael Bracewell. It will also be a litmus test for Mitchell Santner who besides batting and bowling will have the additional responsibility of leadership. Lockie Ferguson who was abysmal in the ODIs must perform as the leader of the bowling attack by not only putting up impressive performances but also guiding the young guns like Henry Shipley Jacob Duffy and Blair Tickner. So who will win? Team News New Zealand: After impressing in the ODI series Michael Bracewell will be a shoo-in for the T20Is. Ben Lister could be making his debut. Team News India: Ruturaj Gaikwad stands ruled out of the series with wrist pain/injury but India haven't asked for a replacement. They are likely to stick with the opening pair of Ishan Kishan and Shubman Gill which served them well recently against Sri Lanka. There's also Prithvi Shaw in the squad this time having forced his way back with the sheer weight of runs at the domestic level and how India try and bring him into the scheme of things will be something to keep an eye on. There's no Harshal Patel this time around and the returning Kuldeep Yadav could challenge Yuzvendra Chahal's spot. What to expect: A whole lot of MS Dhoni t-shirts in the stands. Only three T20 Internationals have been hosted at this ground with the last one being a rematch between India and NZ here in 2021. Tim Southee and Harshal Patel's cutters headlined the slow pitch on that occasion but India have played on much better pitches this season and something similar could be expected in Ranchi. Watch out for the big boundaries at this venue. Pitch Report: The pitch at Ranchi's JSCA International Stadium Complex offers a balanced surface in T20 cricket. The average first innings score here is 133 but India easily chased a 154-run target against Kiwis in the last T20I game played here.
