RESUMEN 18 ETAPA TOUR de FRANCIA 2022 NAIRO Quintana BATALLA CON GAUDO POGACAR BRUTAL CAIDA TOUR de FRANCIA 2022 Que viva el ciclismo. Que viva el deporte. Y también la deportividad. La foto de la etapa de hoy es eso, una foto. La de Pogacar agradeciéndole a Vingegaard que le esperara en la bajada tras la caída del esloveno. Le esperó, aunque Pogacar no aguantó la puntilla final del danés junto a Van Aert. Ambos cambiaron el ritmo y dejaron a Pogacar atrás. No pudo el esloveno, que acabó entrando a 1:04. Ahora está a 3:26 Pogacar de Vingegaard. Una utopía pensar que le pueda remontar en la contrarreloj. Se fue al suelo Pogacar a 28 km de meta. Maillot roto. Rodilla sangrando. Coge la bici a toda velocidad y a por Vingegaard, que se escapa. Vingegaard, en un gran gesto de deportividad, le espera en la bajada. Deportividad ante todo. Ciclismo y deporte. Y es que antes es Vingegaard es el que casi se fue al suelo, también en una bajada y en un giro a izquierdas. Qué dos momentos. Qué tensión. El ciclista del Jumbo salvó bien la caída sacando el pie izquierdo de la cala para estabilizarse. Fue un mano a mano apasionante durante varios kilómetros. Y otra imagen: la de Pogacar pidiendo desesperadamente la asistencia del coche para agua (beber y curarse heridas), comer algo y desahogarse con los compañeros del coche. Tenía las pulsaciones a 1.000. Mientras, la lucha por la etapa seguía un poco más arriba. Los constantes cambios de ritmo de Van Aert fueron lo más destacado. Tenía capacidad de sobra y así lo demostró. Espectáculo del Jumbo. El mejor equipo de este Tour. Daniel Felipe Martínez y Pinot intentaban ponerse a su rueda. Llegaron Vinvegaard y Pogacar a la rueda de Van Aert. El belga acompañó a su líder hasta donde pudo dejando atrás a Pogacar a 4 kilómetros de meta. Allá que se fue el danés a por la victoria de etapa y a sentenciar el Tour en la subida al Hautacam, que también dejó imágenes bonitas con la afición volcada. Acabó entrando a 1:04. Ahora está a 3:26 Pogacar de Vingegaard. Por otra parte, ayer y hoy, en las grandes etapas de montaña, algunos daban como favorito a Enric Mas para hacerse con la victoria de etapa después de descolgarse de la clasificación general. Pero ni así. Incapaz el español de hacer un buen Tour. No aguantó al grupo cabecero que se escapó en los primeros kilómetros. Mas vuelve a caerse del Top10 de la general. A descatar que Damiano Caruso, Froome e Imanol Erviti dieron positivo en COVID antes del inicio de la etapa y no tomaron la salida.

The Tour de France will begin for the first time in Scandinavia and more specifically in Copenhagen. The route will see the inclusion of a pave stage on Stage 5 and also the return of Alpe d'Huez and even the Hautacam with many climbs to climb before they finish in Paris. The route will also venture into Switzerland and has a total of 53km of time trialling with the final time trial on the penultimate stage.
