Electric Friday Night | Royals Shutout Cubs in Series-Opener

The Royals were rocking in front of the second-largest home crowd of the year: 36,351 in attendance. Brady Singer is back on the bump for the second time this homestand delivering yet another quality start by tossing 7.0 scoreless innings while allowing 2 hits, 2 walks, and striking out 5. One inning is all the Royals needed to do their damage. Adam Frazier scored two with a knock followed by a Vinnie Pasquantino RBI single. Salvador Perez hit a 3-run bomb 429' to cap of the 6-run inning. Will Smith and Chris Stratton combined to close out the 8th and 9th innings to bring the Royals to their 57th win of the season; a feat they didn't reach last season. ----------- Join the conversation!
