The Milwaukee Brewers completed a sweep of the New York Yankees this past weekend that included back-to-back walk-off wins to help them crawl a little closer to the top of the NL Central. However, it was something their young ace did in his start that stole the headlines for the series. On this episode of the Baseball Bar-B-Cast, Jake Mintz and Jordan Shusterman discuss the emergence of Jacob Misiorowski as the true number one in the Brew Crew’s pitching staff after he threw some of the fastest pitches ever by a starting pitcher en route to helping Milwaukee secure the win. Even though the Brewers traded away former ace Freddy Peralta this past offseason, “The Miz” is grabbing the number one spot by the horns and might not relinquish it for a long time. Later, Jake and Jordan talk about the Atlanta Braves taking two of three from the Los Angeles Dodgers in what could be a possible NLCS preview come October, and they get into the interesting trade for baseball “sickos” that went down between the San Francisco Giants and the Cleveland Guardians. The guys then recap all the other action from this past weekend in baseball, including the New York Mets not having a great road trip, the Texas Rangers cooling off the Chicago Cubs a little and Kyle Schwarber not slowing down in the home run department. 0:00 - Start of the show 2:26 - The Opener: The Miz throws fire 17:16 - Why the Brewers are just getting going 26:29 - Around The League: Possible NLCS matchup 33:03 - Remembering Bobby Cox 37:34 - Giants & Guardians make a trade 53:32 - Turbo Mode: Rest of weekend action -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 🟣 Your definitive source for 24/7 sports news, analysis, and insider reporting! Hello everyone and welcome to another End to End Hockey video during the offseason, in this video we are talking about some more news and rumours as we start off by looking at 5 signings as the Penguins signed Dewar to a 2 year extension to help him remain with them, Borvik signs a ELC in Utah and more, then we look at a slew of injury updates including around Carrick, Manson and Tippett amongst others, look at some roster movement with Colorado, Philly and St.Louis, Stars want to sign Robertson, Cap set for upcoming season, Selke and Norris finalists announced, plus we look at waivers including with no one on waivers plus more updates and then we also talk about some trade rumours as first I look at the Devils as I came across a report that mentioned that if the Devils wanted to improve their offense in the offseason they could look to target a Kraken player who is known for goal scoring, then we look at the Penguins as after being 1st rounded it seems like big changes are coming as they could let Malkin walk and apparently could look to deal 2 big time vets on their team and lastly I look at the Hawks and Leafs as according to Pagnotta the Blackhawks really want Matthew Knies and could look to try again to add him this offseason and may dangle the 4th overall pick to get him and I would love to hear your thoughts on all that was discussed in today’s video down in the comments section below. Twenty months. Dozens of roster decisions. How many actually made the Edmonton Oilers better? Nick Zararis goes through every major move Stan Bowman has made as Edmonton Oilers General Manager: free agent signings, trades, and contract extensions, grades each one, and explains what it means for the team's future with Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl on the clock. What's covered: Free agency grades: Josh Samanski and David Tomasek (smart low-risk gambles), Andrew Mangiapane (a clean miss), John Klingberg (fine), Curtis Lazar (fine), Jack Roslovic (acceptable at the price) Extension grades: Leon Draisaitl at 8 years/$14M (had to be done), Trent Frederick at 8 years/$3.85M (inexcusable), Evan Bouchard at 4 years/$10.5M (fine), Jake Walman at 7 years/$7M (does not look good), Vasily Podkolzin at 3 years/$2.95M (lights out), Mattias Ekholm at 3 years/$4M (concerning for his age) Trade grades: The Tristan Jarry acquisition (catastrophic miss), the Jake Walman trade for a first-round pick (miss), the Vasily Podkolzin trade for a fourth-round pick (win), the Connor Ingram waiver claim (win), Jason Dickinson and Colton Dach for a first and Andrew Mangiapane (TBD but likely a miss) Why the NHL is changing: How the league is skewing younger, faster, and more skill-based, and why Bowman's approach of targeting proven veterans at depressed prices hasn't worked in Edmonton The excess value problem: Why the Oilers' best years came when they had players like Evan Bouchard, Dylan Holloway, and Philip Broberg on cheap deals and how they've lost that edge What $16 million in cap space actually buys: Why it sounds like a lot and isn't, once you factor in goaltending, top-six forwards, and Colton Dach's restricted free agency 06:47 Oil's pitch to veteran players 08:56 Critiquing Stan Bowman's decisions 14:06 Discussing player roles and signings 19:52 Debating Oilers' recent trades 23:24 Discussing GM and coach changes 24:14 Impending McDavid free agency concerns 28:39 Predicting a coaching change Every Stan Bowman Trade and Signing Graded: Edmonton Oilers GM Report Card Everydayer Club If you never miss an episode, it’s time to make it official. Micah Handlogten might not be a flashy transfer portal name, but he could be EXACTLY the type of player Arkansas basketball needs heading into next season. In this full breakdown, we take a deep dive into the 7’1, 255-pound center from Florida and why his impact goes far beyond the box score. Handlogten entered the transfer portal after playing a key role for the Florida Gators, including being part of a national championship run. What makes his story even more unique is the fact that he originally planned to redshirt during the 2024-25 season while recovering from a leg injury. However, when Florida suffered frontcourt injuries late in the year, Handlogten made the decision to return in February and help his team make a postseason push. That type of toughness and team-first mentality is something coaches absolutely love. Now the big question is whether Handlogten will receive an NCAA waiver that allows him to play a fifth season. That decision is expected sometime between May and July, and it could significantly impact his transfer market. If he’s granted eligibility, he instantly becomes one of the most valuable “role player” big men in the portal. Statistically, Handlogten isn’t going to jump off the page as a scorer, but his value comes in areas that WIN games. During the 2025-26 season, he averaged 4.1 points and 5.9 rebounds while shooting an efficient 63.7% from the field. But the real story is his rebounding — especially on the offensive glass. In the 2023-24 season, Handlogten recorded 108 offensive rebounds, which ranks as the second-highest single-season total in Florida basketball history. He followed that up with another 100+ offensive rebound season, making him one of only two players in program history (along with Patric Young) to accomplish that feat multiple times. That kind of production translates directly into extra possessions, second-chance points, and winning basketball. At Marshall, Handlogten showed even more upside, averaging 7.6 points, 9.8 rebounds, and 2.3 blocks per game while earning Sun Belt Freshman of the Year honors. He also ranked among the national leaders in both rebounding and shot blocking, showing the defensive impact he can bring at a high level. So what does this mean for Arkansas? If the Razorbacks are looking for a physical, high-motor big who can dominate the glass, protect the rim, and do all the dirty work, Handlogten fits perfectly. He projects as a rotation center who can give you 15–20 minutes per game while impacting the game in ways that don’t always show up in scoring totals. This video breaks down his strengths, weaknesses, fit in Arkansas’ system, and why he could be a sneaky but important addition out of the transfer portal. Is Micah Handlogten a must-get player for the Razorbacks? Or is he more of a depth piece with limited upside? Watch the full breakdown to find out. If you’re a Razorback fan, make sure to like, subscribe, and stay locked in for more Arkansas basketball and transfer portal coverage. Woo Pig! 🐗
Is this the most dominant team in the history of UConn women’s basketball? Jason Fitz and Caroline Fenton of Yahoo Sports Daily react to the Huskies' 18-point victory over Notre Dame as they move to 38-0 on the season. While UConn continues to set a standard of perfection, the conversation shifts to why a close scare against Duke might actually make UCLA the scarier team heading into the Final Four. Jason and Caroline discuss whether Azzi Fudd and the undefeated Huskies are truly untouchable, or if the battle-tested Bruins have found what's necessary to pull off the ultimate upset in Phoenix. 00:00 Reaction to Notre Dame vs UConn 02:36 UConn's dominance 05:04 Reaction UCLA vs Duke 07:05 Is UCLA the scarier team going into the final four? 08:13 What's the best case scenario for the tournament matchups? 🏀🔥 Get more expert March Madness coverage HERE: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLtAg01865jDchheEA-731PXJkVyDJv2Df&si=gBLdUkRDEHDQFxyG -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 🟣 Your definitive source for 24/7 sports news, analysis, and insider reporting!
