He left the school after his 2001 senior season as the highest scoring player in New Jersey State history, and in his senior year had done the improbable, as he scored 100 points in a single game; as the best moment of a career filled with high scoring. He would be the first Blue Chip prospect for Coach John Calipari, after he took over the Memphis Tigers coaching position. And Wagner would impress in his freshman season, as he would lead the Tigers to the NIT championship and take home the MVP. He would then be drafted to the Cleveland Cavaliers where he would spend some time on a rebuilding Cavs team with guys like Ricky Davis, Darius Miles, and LeBron James. But Wagner could barely stay on the court; as along with your typical sports injuries, it was discovered quite early that he had ulcerative colitis, which would essentially end his career at the age of 22 years old.
