Sixers DESTROYED In Game 1… But The Knicks Will NOT Shoot Like That Again! #76ers #Sixers #NBA

The Sixers lose to the Knicks 137-98 in Game 1 of the NBA Playoffs 2nd Round. They got smacked from the first quarter. The backups were in during the entire 4th quarter. Joel Embiid had a good start to the game but only finished with 14 points in 25 minutes. Tyrese Maxey struggled mightily against the length of the Knicks and went 3/9 for 13 points with 4 turnovers. Paul George had 17 points on 4 three pointers. But the team defense was non-existent. The Knicks shot a crazy 51% from three point range and 63% from the field. Jalen Brunson led the charge with 35 points on 12/18 from the field. The Sixers need to flush this one and move on. The Knicks lead the series 1-0. #Sixers #76ers #joelembiid #paulgeorge #tyresemaxey #quentingrimes #vjedgecombe #kellyoubrejr #nicknurse #NBA #76ersnews #SixersNews #nbanews #nbashorts #youtubeshorts #shorts #dominickbarlow #andredrummond #justinedwards #knicks #newyorkknicks #jalenbrunson #nbaplayoffs FOLLOW US ON ALL PLATFORMS: -All Of The Philly Take with RB Social Links: https://linktr.ee/phillytakewithrb -Quick Link To Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/phillytakewithrb/ -Quick Link To Twitter: https://twitter.com/RBPhillyTake -Quick Link To Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/phillytakewithrb/ -Quick Link To TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@phillytakewithrb CHECK OUT THE NEW MERCH: https://phillytakewithrb.com/ JOIN THE PHILLY TAKE DISCORD: https://discord.gg/ydFcra538h JOIN CHANNEL MEMBERSHIPS: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCZ6xo8_BSzZJVYfWEqEt1Gw/join SUPPORT THE GROWTH OF THE SHOW: -Venmo: https://venmo.com/phillytakewithrb -CashApp: https://cash.app/$phillytakewithrb *ROAD TO 55K SUBS*

Texas Tech May Sue the NCAA; Cincinnati Could Get Hammered Too Over Sorsby
Texas Tech May Sue the NCAA; Cincinnati Could Get Hammered Too Over Sorsby

Texas Tech may be headed for a legal fight with the NCAA over Brendan Sorsby, and Cincinnati could be facing serious questions of its own after reports that it knew about Sorsby’s gambling situation before last season. On tonight’s live show, I’ll break down whether Texas Tech could challenge the NCAA, whether a “ghost transfer” QB is realistic, and how much trouble Cincinnati could be in if this Sorsby situation keeps escalating. We’ll also dig into the Big 12’s new private capital deal with RedBird and Weatherford Capital, including how much debt schools can take on, why the league says there is no ownership stake involved, and whether this is actually a smart move for the Big 12’s future media strategy. Plus, why does the Big 12 keep creating its own problems? Between Texas Tech’s Sorsby situation, BYU losing Parker Kingston, major coaching turnover, and playoff perception issues, the league has plenty to prove heading into next season. We’ll also talk Jerome Tang returning to Baylor, what it means for K-State fans, and why I’m not sure this is the move Baylor actually needs right now. FINAL POSSESSION Drama in Game 1 | Panathinaikos - Valencia | EuroLeague Basketball PLAYOFFS
FINAL POSSESSION Drama in Game 1 | Panathinaikos - Valencia | EuroLeague Basketball PLAYOFFS

Panathinaikos never trailed and outlasted Valencia 67-68 in a thrilling series opener. Kendrick Nunn scored 7 points in the first 2 minutes, sparking the Greens to an early 5-15 lead. It was 17-23 after 10 minutes, and little changed in a defense-dominated second quarter as the interval arrived with Panathinaikos up, 32-39. Braxton Key scored 8 points in the third frame to bring the hosts closer, 49-54. A trio of scores from Kam Taylor kept pushing Valencia and it was tied, 67-67, with 24 seconds left. Then Nunn was fouled in the act of shooting, and held his nerve from the line for the win. Nunn paced Panathinaikos with 21 points, supported by the energy of Mathias Lessort with 12 points and 7 rebounds, while TJ Shorts also scored 12. Jean Montero top scored for Valencia with 15 points, Key added 12 and Taylor scored 11 for the hosts, who paid the price for only making 6 of 33 three-point attempts. Panathinaikos lacked offensive fluency, only dishing 10 assists with 11 turnovers, but the Greens showed enough defensive resolve to grab a priceless win. Full Game: Friday Night Friction at the Stadium | Bulls vs. Pacers (December 16, 1988)
Full Game: Friday Night Friction at the Stadium | Bulls vs. Pacers (December 16, 1988)

Outside Chicago Stadium, the snow was drifting lightly and the wind was whipping off the lake, turning the city into the kind of holiday postcard the Chamber of Commerce loves. Inside, however, the Chicago Bulls were busy nearly handing a gift-wrapped victory to a struggling Indiana Pacers squad. What should have been a blowout turned into a "rough sleigh ride" for the 17,488 in attendance, highlighting the fragile nature of a Bulls team still trying to find its identity after the off-season trade that sent Charles Oakley to New York for Bill Cartwright. The Bulls held a commanding 19-point lead that evaporated as the Pacers' Wayman Tisdale began to exploit a soft interior defense. Indiana clawed back to within a single point with just 93 seconds remaining, exposing the recurring narrative of the 1988-89 season: if Michael Jordan doesn't do everything, the Bulls do very little. Jordan, playing the role of a hardwood Scrooge, finally slammed the door. He drew contact, converted the necessary free throws, and delivered a signature defensive rejection on a Chuck Person attempt to preserve the win. The night’s subtext, however, belonged to Bill Cartwright. While Jordan finished with 28 points and 10 rebounds, Cartwright recorded a dubious "triple-double"—23 points, 10 rebounds, and a staggering 10 turnovers. The big man’s lack of coordination was a source of constant irritation for Jordan, who often complained that Cartwright "fumbled" away the team's momentum. Yet, in a rare display of leadership that pierced the post-game tension, Cartwright gathered his teammates for a speech. Even delivered in his trademark raspy whisper, the message was clear: the sloppy play and near-collapses had to stop. This game serves as a window into the growing pains of a dynasty. With the arrival of Craig Hodges providing much-needed perimeter spacing, the pieces were beginning to move into place, but the friction between Jordan and his supporting cast remained the primary obstacle. It was a victory, but one that left the Bulls at a modest 11-10, still searching for the consistency required to challenge the elite of the Eastern Conference.
