Why F1 cars now split apart in crashes more than they used to
When the Monaco Grand Prix television coverage cut to the images of Mick Schumacher’s crashed Haas, with the gearbox separated from the car, it looked like a massive accident. It was shocking to see the gearbox, complete with rear suspension, wheels and rear wing, completely detached from the car. So why is such separation happening so frequently, not just to Schumacher but F1 cars in general given there have been partial separations in the case of Yuki Tsunoda’s crash at Imola last year, and Lance Stroll at Mugello in 2020? A glorious defeat of the Knicks in Madison Square Garden on the anniversary of the 75th birthday of the #NBA. Before the game New York was an early darling of the NBA Media Machine and the Knicks had high hopes for their season and the playoffs. On the other hand #Toronto was injured and unsure about its young core. By the end of the game there were more answers about the mettle and the possible potential for the Raptors in the upcoming season.
