En los test es muy difícil saber la velocidad y ritmo real de cada uno, pero al final hay que combinar datos, con sensaciones, con estadísticas y tirar un poco de bola de cristal para saber como va cada uno y como pueden llegar a la primera carrera. La pretemporada 2023 de Fórmula 1 en el circuito de Baréin ha terminado, y en el día de hoy nos hemos llevado muchas, muchas sorpresas. Tras tres días de tests, muchos equipos que pensaba que mejorarían han ido para abajo y equipos de la zona baja han dado la sorpresa. Con el equipo Red Bull esperaba dominio, pero no tanto, con Max Verstappen y Checo Pérez encabezando las tablas de clasificación y las tandas largas. Con Ferrari esperaba mejoras de fiabilidad y de degradación, pero tenemos la mitad, con un Charles Leclerc y Carlos Sainz que sufren todavía con las gomas. Con Mercedes esperaba que partiesen de una base más sólida que el año pasado, pero tampoco parece que estén para tirar cohetes con un monoplaza muy inestable. En la zona media, esperaba que Alpine fuese el gran candidato para liderar la zona media, pero no he entendido nada de su programa de test. Con McLaren esperaba un pasito hacia arriba, pero no hemos visto nada por tantísimos problemas. Con Alfa Romeo esperaba que fuesen para abajo tras su final de 2022, pero la verdad es que parece que se puede comer a alguno más en la zona media. Con Aston Martin esperaba una mejora, pero parece que está siendo más grande de lo que imaginaba. La simulación de carrera de Fernando Alonso en esta jornada de F1 Testing ha pillado por sorpresa a todo el paddock. Con Haas esperaba una revolución, pero lo que he visto ni fú ni fá. Con AlphaTauri deseaba que volviesen a lo alto de la zona media, pero parecen estabilizados. Y con Williams esperaba que saliesen del pozo de la parrilla y parece que lo han logrado.
