2026 NBA PLAYOFFS First Round Predictions Results
With the first round of the 2026 NBA Playoffs finally over, let's take a look at how my predictions went. Starting with the Western Conference, in the Oklahoma City Thunder versus the Phoenix Suns series, the Oklahoma City Thunder won and advanced to the Western Conference Semifinals. Next, in the Denver Nuggets versus the Minnesota Timberwolves series and the Houston Rockets versus the Los Angeles Lakers series, both the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Los Angeles Lakers won and advanced to the Western Conference Semifinals. Finally, in the Portland Trailblazers versus the San Antonio Spurs series, the San Antonio Spurs won and advanced to the Western Conference semifinals. In the Eastern Conference, in the Detroit Pistons versus the Orlando Magic series, the Detroit Pistons won and advanced to the Eastern Conference Semifinals. Next, in the Philadelphia 76ers versus Boston Celtics series and the Atlanta Hawks versus the New York Knicks series, both the Philadelphia 76ers and the New York Knicks won and advanced to the Eastern Conference Semifinals. Finally in the Toronto Raptors versus the Cleveland Cavaliers series, the Cleveland Cavaliers won and advanced to the Eastern Conference Semifinals. With the Thunder, Lakers, Timberwolves, Spurs, Pistons, Knicks, Sixers and Cavaliers all winning and advancing to the Western and Eastern Conference Semifinals of the 2026 NBA Playoffs, I was able to predict the first round at a 62.5% correct rate.
