NBA Finals 2016: Andrew Bogut Shaquille O’Neal awkward moment video link:https://youtu.be/C33fsEIEPDI ANDREW Bogut joined the NBA TV desk for a postgame interview after the Warriors’ win in Game Two of the NBA Finals and everything went according to script — until it didn’t. Bogut was in a relaxed mood as he spoke with NBA greats Kenny Smith, Grant Hill and Shaquille O’Neal about Golden State’s defensive dominance in the 110-77 win, his game-high five blocks and the support he was receiving from Australia. There was a minor blip around the 5:12 minute mark of the first video below when Bogut appeared to refer to Hill as “Steve” (perhaps confusing him with former NBA player Steve Smith), before O’Neal pulled things back on track by joining Bogut in an “Aussie, Aussie, Aussie, Oi, Oi, Oi” chant. But the atmosphere got a little awkward when Bogut finished the interview by oversharing about some mutual acquaintances he had with the former Lakers star. “You’ve been there (Australia). The big fella’s been there. I met some ladies that met him back in Australia,” said Bogut, before laughing and giving O’Neal a friendly tap. “Hey, easy!” said Smith and Hill in chorus. “Snitches get stitches!” O’Neal followed that with the perfect shutdown: “Welcome to D’Angelo Russell Studios, the Australian office.” The 44-year-old was referring to current Los Angeles guard Russell, who was shunned by teammates after filming fellow Laker Nick Young talking about cheating on his fiancee, Australian rapper Iggy Azalea, in the locker room this season. The joke was clear: don’t be sharing personal information in public. Thankfully, all parties laughed off the slip-up, which was spotted and shared by several US media sites. You can watch what happened in the second video below. Earlier, Bogut described how the Warriors’ determination to limit the three-point shooting power of the Cavs was creating shot-blocking opportunities for him at the rim. “They have so many great three-point shooters, much like we do,” Bogut said. “So with J.R. (Smith), Kyrie (Irving) and these kind of guys, we don’t want them walking into threes, especially off ball screens. “If they split that pick and roll or get around that show, I’ve got to be there at the basket to protect. “There’s a couple of guys we don’t want to leave. J.R. is one of them. Kevin Love’s the other. There’s a couple of guys who get going if they knock their first couple of shots down but they haven’t really got going this series. We need to be careful.” Bogut also hailed his team’s depth as one of its biggest strengths after standout performances by several bench players in the opening two games. “Different guys have stepped up,” he said. “This is the deepest team I’ve been on and it starts with coach (Steve) Kerr. He has the confidence to go 11, 12, 13 (players) deep, I haven’t seen that in my career ... “I’ve been on teams in Milwaukee where I was the go-to guy offensively. I was getting 10-15 shots a game. Now I’ve figured out how to contribute on a team with great shooters and great offensive players — and that’s defensively. I don’t mind doing that at this point of my career. I got a ring out of it last season and will hopefully get another one this season. “We have a lot of guys — Andre Iguodala, Shaun Livingston — that are giving up a lot and could be 15-20 point (a game) players on other teams but they’re happy to play a defensive role or a bench role or a low minute role each and every night.”
