The Chicago Blackhawks picked up their 2nd win of the young season in game 6 of the 2020-21 campaign, defeating the Detroit Red Wings by a score of 6-2, sweeping the weekend series and improving their record to 2-3-1 on the year. Pius Suter not only picked up his first goal in the NHL, but his first hat trick! He powered the Blackhawks offense for the evening. Connor Murphy picked up a goal and a assist, pushing him to the 100 point mark of his NHL career. Philip Kurashev scored his 2nd goal of the season to cap off the 6-2 route of the lowly Red Wings. Kevin Lankinen was excellent again, picking up his 2nd win of the season stopping 25 of 27 shots for a sparkling .926 save percentage. The Chicago Blackhawks fell once again to the Florida Panthers by a score of 5-4 in overtime, dropping their record to dreadful 0-3-1 through the first four games of the season. Dominik Kubalik exploded with 2 power play goals and one assist on the evening. Dylan Strome continued his stellar play at the face-off circle with a 60% success rate. Kevin Lankinen draws praise in his first ever NHL game and Philip Kurashev scores his first NHL goal.
