Agonisingly Steep Ramps On First Summit Finish! | Tour De France 2022 Stage 7 Highlights
The first summit finish of this year's race sees La Planche des Belles Filles returs to the Tour de France for the sixth time in ten years. Like in 2019, the peloton take on the extended ‘Super’ Planche (8.7% for 7km) which features a short gravel section to the summit with gradients of up to 24%! GC Skirmish After Incredible Day Of Racing | Tour De France 2022 Stage 6 Highlights
Stage 6 is a 220km-long trek between Binche and Longwy that features a deceptive amount of climbing, 2,885m to be exact. The final 20km are the toughest with no flat roads in sight and a steep ramp up to the finish line which will be sure to see the best puncheurs vying for stage victory. For the first time in four years, the Tour de France heads into ‘Paris-Roubaix country’ to tackle a route that packs in no fewer than 11 bone-rattling cobblestone sectors.
