Josh Brownhill said City's work on the training pitches came to fruition, as their set-piece play proved vital against Preston North End. In a topsy-turvy game, City scored all three of their goals at Deepdale through two corners and a free kick situation. Brownhill himself grabbed an assist, with Andreas Weimann guiding home a near-post header from the captain's corner. "We worked on that in training this week, especially for Andi’s goal…we did well," Brownhill said. "We had been working on it through the week, working hard with Deano (Dean Holden), Macca (Jamie McAllister) and the gaffer (Lee Johnson) on technique as well so I’m happy to get the assists as well." "Yes I thought it was a crazy game," he added, reflecting on the game overall. "We took the lead after starting off really well and then we let them back into it with a cheap penalty. I thought we did well, we deserved to come away with a point minimum. "We had a few chances to go on and win but overall we’re pleased. They’re a tough team, so to come away with a point, we’ll take that." City hit the road again on Wednesday night with a trip to Brentford, before a third game in seven days when they host Reading next Saturday. It's a sign of the Sky Bet Championship in full swing and Brownhill is looking forward to the challenge. He said: "I’ve played in the Championship for a few years now. It’s Saturday-Tuesday most weeks and we’ve put in good performances when we’ve played three in a week in the past so I’ sure we can do it again this week."
