Houston Astros Drop Series Against Oakland Athletics on the Sports2Nite TV show

It wasn’t a lack of offense that caused the Houston Astros to fall 6-4 at the hands of the Oakland Athletics – their second straight defeat. Instead, the Athletics came into the series on fire, outhitting against the outmatched home team. After the series was over, the Astros came out on the bottom of the series, falling three games to one. “Their bats were exceptional this series,” said Astros manager A.J. Hinch. “They wore us out, the whole pitching staff.” The Astros will host the Detroit Tigers for a three game set before the All-Star break next week.
