Xavier Worthy on Steve Sarkisian's response and Texas Football moving past the loss to Arkansas. The Texas Longhorns lost 40-21 to SEC opponent, Arkansas Razorbacks. It was a humbling loss for the Texas football team after their Week 1 victory over Louisiana. Texas Longhorns freshman WR Xavier Worthy visited with Serenity Douglas of OrangeBloods.com to discuss the loss, how the offense played and what the offensive staff including Texas head football coach Steve Sarkisian is doing to help the team move forward. Xavier Worthy said Saturday's loss to Arkansas Razorbacks was his first loss in nearly three years of football. He mentioned how crazy it was to be on the field at Razorback Stadium when the fans stormed the field. Xavier Worthy said he had a ton of people running up to him throwing the Horns down. Xavier said the Texas Longhorns might have underestimated Arkansas: "We just weren't ready. I feel like we underestimated them during the week. We were practicing hard, but we weren't practicing how we normally practice, we were taking it lightly." Texas QB Hudson Card struggled completing just 8/15 passes for 61 yards. But, Casey Thompson came into the game and played better than Card. The two QB's Hudson Card and Casey Thompson battled it out all fall and Card was named the Week 1 starter, but Steve Sarkisian has changed QB's and named Thompson the starter Week 3 vs. Rice Owls. Xavier mentioned both are really good QB's, but that Casey Thompson is more experienced. Worthy said Hudson will be better for the experience he's faced the first two weeks of the Texas football season: "I feel like he's going to be the next best thing after Casey."
