Diego Pablo Simeone's team started their La Liga campaign with an impressive 6-1 victory over Granada, with former FC Barcelona striker Luis Suarez scoring twice in his opening match as Atletico player. Diego Costa opened the score with a header with Joao Felix, Marcos Llorente and Angel Correa also finding the back of the net.
