Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez were both pictured in training with the rest of the Liverpool squad out at their Austrian pre-season camp. Neither featured in the pre-season outings against Wacker Innsbruck and Stuttgart on Tuesday with Jurgen Klopp confirming both are unlikely to feature against Mainz on Friday either. Curtis Jones, who missed the games, too, also took part in training, as did Welsh duo Harry Wilson and Neco Williams, having reported for pre-season at the start of week.
