Did the NBA retcon Michael Jordan?

In its decision to suspend the season at the positive test of COVID-19, did the NBA inadvertently retcon how people will look at one of the greatest performances in league history with Michael Jordan's "flu game?" Hopefully that is not the case. But it does warrant the discussion early on to prevent this kind of revisionist history.
