A quick fire goal from Reading gave them a shock lead scoring after just a few seconds, Meite with the strike. Armstrong leveled for Rovers in the 3rd minute. However the visitors restored their lead on 15 min with Olise giving the Royals another goal. Shortly after it was 3 for Reading as Laurent gave the table toppers a two goal cushion. Rovers got back into the game in the 2nd half with Armstrongs second gaol of the day. Unfortunately it was not meant to be as Lucas Joao wrapped it up for the visitors with Readings 4th to win 2-4.
