Brewers stun Cardinals with walk-off SLAM 9/5/21

MILWAUKEE -- It was Ryan Braun's bobblehead day at American Family Field, and what a fitting finish. After one comeback bid was denied in the eighth inning, they mounted another in the bottom of the ninth, when Daniel Vogelbach connected against Cardinals closer Alex Reyes for a 6-5 Milwaukee win on a walk-off grand slam. It was the Brewers’ eighth walk-off grand slam in franchise history, and the first since Braun’s against the Pirates on Sept. 25, 2008, as that team was pushing for the postseason. This Brewers team is doing the same, and it lowered its magic number to clinch the National League Central to 14 with Sunday’s comeback victory and the Reds’ loss. #Brewers #Cardinals #MLB
