Managerless relegation rivals Burnley don’t play until Thursday, meaning the ‘Toffees’ could secure a huge psychological boost by going six points clear of the drop zone by the end of the night. Robust defensive displays have been key to the few successes Everton have had this season, as highlighted by five of their eight Premier League (PL) victories being accompanied by a clean sheet. With that context, it could be a worry for manager Frank Lampard that Everton have secured just one shutout against Leicester across the last 15 PL home H2Hs, although remarkably only two of those matches ended in defeat (W5, D8).
